2026.3.1.1 on Fedora 44 KDE: Slow switching tabs, ctrl+d does not close session but edit instead

Hi all,

Firt issue: Since the last update, switching between shells while working on multiple simultaneous SSH sessions takes two seconds.

Second issue: I constantly use Ctrl+D to close the session (which is the standard behavior on Linux), but the function has been changed; now, it edits the active connection instead. Would it be possible to restore the previous behavior?

Thanks again.

Hello,

Thank you for the report. To reproduce both behaviours on our side, could you please provide the following:

  1. Data source type (Local SQLite, Devolutions Server, SQL Server, Devolutions Hub, etc.) and the approximate number of entries in the vault you're using.
  2. The version you were on before the update where both behaviours worked as expected.
  3. How many SSH sessions are typically open when switching becomes slow, and whether they are running continuous output (e.g. top, log tailing).
  4. How you switch tabs: mouse click on the tab, keyboard shortcut, or the navigation pane?
  5. For Ctrl+D: does it still open the edit window if you click inside the terminal first and then press Ctrl+D? Or does it only happen right after switching tabs?

As a quick test, could you also create a new empty Local data source, add two SSH entries, and check whether the switching delay still occurs there?

Thank you,

Carl Marien

Hi @Carl Marien ,

Local SQL Lite, 5 entries linux. 2026.3.0.5 was working. I usually switch from 2 or 3, my homelab server. No particular usage, it's slow just after i logged into my vm's. Just clicking mouse over tab. The CTRL-D edit connections ever, regardless of the activity.

Hello,
Thank you for the details. They helped a lot.
I've opened an investigation with our QA team that covers both issues:

  • Ctrl+D opens the edit window instead of closing the session. Another user has reported the same behavior since 2026.3.1.1, so it's being treated as a regression from 2026.3.0.5.
  • SSH tab switching takes about 2 seconds since 2026.3.1.1. I included your setup: Local SQLite data source, 5 entries, 2 or 3 sessions, switching by clicking the tab.

Until the Ctrl+D behavior is fixed, typing exit or logout in the session will close it normally.
I'll update you as soon as I hear back from the team.
Best regards,

Carl Marien
