Identities Hook [Cleanup]

i need a button that runs a script that i can use to do user cleanup on ~2300 accounts, since the accounts are in AD i should be able to write a small identity script that can check the users when i click the button. if the hook doesnt exist the button should not be there. or maybe if the button is there the pop up should say 'hook' not configured, would you like me to create a hook for your 'yes/no', then you get a starter hook to do your account look up and and all that nonsense.

@Matthew Morrow This is related to the PSU "middleware" we were discussing last time? My understanding is that this is similar to the AI Agent hooks you were using in your tooling.

@Adam Driscoll

Yes.

1 example use case

Github Sync-download

some kind of json config idk that calls a script and allows you to do pre/post processing or replacement of what that feature does in the first place, can add logging and not have to recompile PSU.

hooks

  • gitSyncPreTool = call something.ps1 to do a git pull on a dependency repo
  • gitSyncPostTool = create a datadog entry for the error

i remember you saying that it might be better to just build a gitSyncContext and have that object build out the where what is called.

@Matthew Morrow Great. That's what I thought. I opened an issue to track this and get it implemented. I might reuse our existing middleware concept and extend it beyond HTTP requests. Once we have some design done, I'll share how it works.
