in the psu search try to find `Favorite Icon`

@Matthew Morrow

Thank you again for taking the time to report these findings while working with PowerShell Universal 2026.3.0. Your continued feedback is very helpful.

We reviewed this report regarding the "Favorite Icon" setting not appearing in the PSU search.

Since system-wide search and the updated Settings experience are part of the changes introduced in 2026.3.0, we are going to validate this behavior and gather the relevant findings so we can prepare the case for internal escalation.

We will update this thread as we complete that review.

Best regards,
Ruben Tapia

Hello Matthew @Matthew Morrow

We have completed our initial technical review of the Settings search behavior.

Our findings indicate that Settings entries such as "Favorite Icon" are not currently represented among the search providers we inspected. This is consistent with the behavior you reported when using the system-wide search.

We have enough information to move this case forward for internal escalation and review of the current search coverage.

Thank you again for your continued testing and feedback on 2026.3.0. I will update this thread when we have additional information.

Best regards,
Ruben Tapia

@Matthew Morrow Individual settings aren't part of the search service. I've opened a feature request for it.

@Adam Driscoll
can you also look at where it is organized, it just doesnt make sense in the user profile area

@Matthew Morrow Can you let me know what you mean by user profile area? There are two settings pages, the user settings and the general system settings, which is this one.

The menu is customizable now so you can add that back if you would like.

that looks like a good default, seems like that is a perfect fit. Could we consider that in all the new releases or was there a reason it got moved?
