Password in YubiKey gets saved out in the wrong language
Hey, when I check out my PAM Admin and save the password to yubikey it gets saved in the wrong keyboard layout. I have a german layout but it gets saved in american.
For example my password is:
züöä!?+#-_.:,;
but on yubikey will be saved as:
y[;'!_]\/?.>,<
The current workaround is to change the windows keyboard layout to american.
Is there a way to change the keyboard layout settings?

There's no keyboard layout setting/option at the moment.
The YubiKey doesn't store the password as text. Each slot holds a sequence of key positions plus a shift flag, the same signals a keyboard sends when you press a key. Those positions only become characters again on the machine receiving them, using that machine's keyboard layout. When the layout used to store the password differs from the layout of the machine typing it out, you get different characters — which is exactly what you're seeing.
We're working on the right fix for this. Even with it, though, a password containing @ [ ] { } \ | ~ ^ or ` won't be able to be copied for a German layout — a stored keystroke can carry a shift flag, but not AltGr.

Unfortunately we don't have an ETA on this at the moment because the fix is a bit more complex, but we are shooting for the fix to come before the end of the year.
