Cloud Services - Encryption and Reeporting Services - High Avilability
1 vote
Hi,
is it in the roadmap, like the PAM servie high avilability. that the encryption and reporting services will be able to have the same high availability setup, controlled from within Dev Cloud.
Kind regards
Hi @Yoffstr,
For the encryption service, we recommend using the Azure deployment type and increasing the number of instances in the App service settings.
For the Reporting service, we'll look into implementing high availability fallback similar to the PAM service.
Cheers,

Hi @Luc Fauvel
I was wanting to do the on premise encryption service, to save on azure costs and also not have to worry about all the other associate items that may or maybe be required to secure the azure app.

Hi @Yoffstr,
For on-premise encryption service, we don't plan on supporting multiple URLs for the encryption service, however it should be possible for you to use something like Caddy or NGINX as a reverse proxy and run multiple encryption services that way with the same URL.

Hi @Luc Fauvel,
so you wouldnt look to run the encryption service, similar to how gateeway farms work (so have a encryption farm with members in a active/passive state)?
Kind regards
Hi @Yoffstr,
It is not currently in our plans no, we’ll update this thread if this changes in the future.

hi @Luc Fauvel,
did you want mee to splitt the this ticket into seperate threads for the reporting and encryption serivee - high availability?
kind regards
Hi @Yoffstr,
That would help us address these 2 feature requests separately, yes.
Cheers,
