Full Screen Mode Not Working on Linux Mint 22.3 (Cinnamon)

Full Screen Mode Not Working on Linux Mint 22.3 (Cinnamon)

avatar

I am using the latest version of Remote Desktop Manager (Linux, .deb installation) on Linux Mint 22.3 (Cinnamon). My display resolution is 1920×1080.
The “Full Screen” mode for RDP sessions does not work correctly.
This happens consistently on Linux Mint 22.3 with Cinnamon. I am not using Flatpak; RDM is installed via .deb from your official site.

How can we fix this? Is there a solution?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out about this issue with Full Screen mode on Linux.

To help us investigate further, could you please provide the following:

  1. The display scaling setting configured on your system.
  2. A screenshot showing the issue when Full Screen mode is activated.

This will help us determine what is causing the behavior you're experiencing.

Best regards,

Carl Marien

  1. Are we talking about the configuration in the connection settings, or are we talking about the operating system—for example, Windows—and the settings there?
  2. When I enable “full screen,” nothing happens—even in the shell when I run `remotedesktopmanager` from the command line, there’s no error...
  3. It used to work in Linux, but I don’t remember which version it stopped working in. Now the question is whether this is a problem with RDM or if a Linux update broke it...

Hello,

Thank you for the clarification.|

Could you please provide:

  • A screenshot showing what happens after you click Full Screen (even if nothing changes).
  • The Display settings from Linux Mint (especially the display scaling value, if enabled).
  • Whether the issue still occurs if you create a brand-new RDP entry with the default settings and test Full Screen there. This will help us determine whether the behavior is related to the specific session configuration or affects all RDP entries.

Once we have this information, we'll be able to investigate further and determine whether the issue is related to RDM or a change in the Linux environment.

Best regards,

Carl Marien
