Converting legacy Website entries

I am pleased to inform you that the requested feature has been added in the latest Devolutions server version (2026.3.6.0):

We now upgraded to DVLS 2026.2 and I saw the notice and a button to convert an individual "Website (legacy)" entry when it is open, but I didn't find a way to convert all legacy entries at once - not in a user's vault, nor globally for all vaults. I also can't filter for that connection type in advanced search.

I would have expected the entries to be converted automatically during the database update.

The current implementation is better than the old one that needed RDM, but I still don't know how many legacy entries there are left in user vaults, if any. I would have to do a SQL query and instruct users to convert them one by one themselves.

Did I miss something?

Here is the online documentation for converting Website (legacy) entry types. Users must convert them themselves in their user vault. Please note that any shared vault security must be set to Standard. If the vault security level is set to High, the conversion will fail.

I know, and that works, but only for one item at a time. I think it would make sense to do it automatically, or at least to have the ability to convert multiple at once.

User's don't know about the legacy entries unless they view one in DVLS web.

You are right that there is no automated method nor bulk updates in the user vault to convert these Website (Legacy) entries. Additionally, they cannot see these entries as legacy until they check in their user vault on the DVLS web UI or in RDM. It's not visible on the Devolutions Workspace browser extension.

Since you are still using version 2026.2, once you update to version 2026.3, all existing Website (Legacy) entries, including those in user vaults, will be converted to Website entries during the upgrade.

Until you update, the users can do it one by one in their user vault.

Sorry, I misread the version number. A user noticed the new convert button in 2026.2, and I assumed this change was implemented in 2026.2 already.
I'll check again after we have upgrade to 2026.3.
