Scroll wheel of external mouse is not working unless scrolling very fast, which is insensitive.

Windows app from MS has additionally support for high resolution scrolling when using display touch, maybe RDM could also support it.
Hello,
We have a setting that allows you to adjust the scroll wheel speed. You can find it under Application Settings (hamburger menu) → Sessions → Unified Remote Connection Settings → Wheel Scrolling Speed.

I've just updated to 2026.1.0.25, but the problem with scrolling persists. The setting for scrolling doesn't help much. It seams to just change how many pixels the scroll action will move in either direction. It applies both to a physical mouse scroll, touchpad on my tablet keyboard and scrolling with 2 fingers on a touchscreen. Touchpad and touchscreen work as expected, albeit not as smoothly as in the official ms windows app for android, because ms's app uses acceleration based high resolution scrolling instead of fixed distance jumpy jittery scroll like RDM. The problem with external mouse is that I have to scroll very fast for RDM to register one step of a rotation at all, no matter how long the jump is set in settings. If I want to scroll by one step no matter how long it is set in the settings, I have to scroll violently on physical mouse and by doing so I can't control how far it will scroll, because usually it registerers more than one scroll step. If I scroll slowly with mouse wheel, one step at a time, it will not scroll at all. I would like it to be fixed, to work the same way as for touchpad and touchscreen, so it is possible to scroll slowly by one step at a time, but eventually I would prefer the acceleration based high resolution scrolling to be implemented.
Hello,
Thank you for the additional details. We will investigate and get back to you as soon as possible.

Hello,
Regarding touch mode, we are currently working on a solution to significantly improve the overall experience. However, this requires substantial changes, so we are not able to provide an implementation timeline at this time.
As for the issue you’re experiencing with an external mouse, we have not been able to reproduce it. Based on our testing, it behaves very similarly to the Microsoft app.
That said, we noticed that the experience feels a bit smoother when Pointer Capture is enabled. Could you try enabling it and let us know if it improves your experience? You can find this option in the session menu (three dots) → Session Settings → Interactive Mode → toggle on Use pointer capture.

Hi, I checked again with the setting you mentioned, but other than the speed of pointer being different the scroll situation is still broken. I connected another cheap generic mouse and scrolling on it works as expected. It doesn't when I use my logitech M720 mouse with a usb unifying dongle. Logitech mouse scroll works normally in other android apps and when connected to windows PC so I guess there is something funky going on with HID handling in RDM app.
Hello,
Thank you for the detailed follow-u.
I’ll pass this new information along to our development team, especially the detail that the issue seems specific to the Logitech M720 with the Unifying receiver, while a generic mouse works as expected. This should help narrow down a potential HID handling difference.
We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information or progress on this.
