Reason mode to Mandatory on JIT elevation not working (DVLS)

Last week week updated to 2025.3.x and I set the Reason mode to Mandatory on JIT elevation only but this is not working. I can request JIT Elevation right without filling in a reason. Is this a known issue?

Hello hjbos,

I attempted to reproduce this issue on 2025.3.12.0 using the web interface with all possible configurations.
Also tested it in RDM with the same configuration.

I can't reproduce this issue.

Here is the configuration I used.

  • Custom configuration on the entry
  • Custom configuration on the parent folder with inheritance on the entry
  • Custom configuration on the root folder with inheritance on the sub folder and the entry
  • Create a new checkout permission under the checkout policies
  • rinse and repeat


Could you confirm you are on the latest version of DVLS?
Could you please let me know if you are using a different configuration?
If so, could you share this configuration?
