Problems with Import Keepass and Bitwarden Enterprise

avatar

Hi,

we are currently implementing Devolutions Hub Business and I wanted to test the Migration of Bitwarden Enterprise and Personal KeePass files.

For Bitwarden I exported the Org Vault as JSON and after i saw that json is not supported by the Hub Importer, again as csv.
The csv showed no data in the Hub Importer? (nor an error message)
Is the Import of a Company Vault from Bitwarden supported?
(csv is filled with data)

Also same issue for KeePass 2.59
tried to export as XML, loaded in the Hub Importer, no entries shown, also no error

Tried the same as csv, it shows some entries, but stops because of the csv formatting (contains line breaks)
The Personal KeePass is not good, but mostly solvable, the broken Bitwarden Import is an huge issue.

Tested with Devolutions Hub Importer Version 2025.3.16.0

I could import the KeePass xml over the website, into my personal vault
but then all folders where gone, that worked over RDM, including the folders

but RDM is not available for everyone here
Also the result differs, at least the XML is valid, but the Import with folders is something i would expect from the Hub Importer ^^

Bitwarden still is not possible to import

Hey, thank you for your post.

I noticed the same behavior on our side with the import of Bitwarden and KeePass using the Hub Importer. I'll check with the team internally and update you as soon as I can.

Thanks,
Stephan

Heyho, i just tested it again with the Version 2025.3.20.0, the issue still persists.

Do you have maybe an ETA for the bugfix?

Hello,

We fixed the main issue that was breaking most imports from the Hub importer, but Bitwarden organizations were not supported altogether.

We're currently working on a fix and will let you know once it's ready.

heyho,

I know that you are working on the Problem :)
But could you tell me maybe an ETA for that?

We now bought more Licenses and are in the Setup-phase of everything
But we cant start the Migration before we moved the ~5000 Entries ;)

Hello,

For the Bitwarden organizations, it will be available in the next version (2025.3.22.0).

I didn't yet have time to look at the Keepass folder problem in Hub importer, but I don't assume it will take me much longer. I'll give you an update tomorrow.

So I just looked into the Keepass csv import through Hub importer, and folders are correctly created for me.

Can you clarify where the line breaks are exactly? And are they exported as such from Keepass?

Thank you

Hi,

i just doublechecked that with the version 2025.3.21.0 and it looks like it is working now?
Maybe this was also fixed in one of the releases after the 2025.3.16.0, in that version i tested the xml import for KeePass and it wasnt working.
So that part is resolved ;) Thanks

Still looking forward for the version with bitwarden company vault import
