Best Practice/Performance
Hi,
are there any general recommendations for best practice configuration with the Devolutions Server?
I found this old thread: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/23978/dvls-server-datasource-performance but I think that information is too old.
Is there still a problem with custom icons? The custom icons tab says you recommend system icons, are there any performance issues when we use them?
We are a managed service provider and plan to add a whole lot of entries to our server (20000-30000), we should plan to split into multiple vaults, I think?

Thank you for reaching out to our forum. You're right the post is from nine years ago. I’ll be sharing some useful links to our Knowledge Base, covering everything you need for the installation of Devolutions Server, including topology, required resources, and more.
There are no issues with custom icons, and as a best practice, we recommend a maximum of == 4,000 entries per vault. However, you can create as many vaults as needed.
