Hello.
We are using the browser extension in connection with our DVLS Server.
Unfortunately, it happens from time to time that there are some connectivity issues and the browser extension immediately loses connection.
At one time I also noticed a 401 JSON error.
I got this twice in a timeframe of about 15 minutes today.
Would it be possible to make the workspace extension a little more resilient ?
Thank you very much.
Marcel

Hi,
What is your DVLS version?
What authentication method are you using (Entra ID/Microsoft, Okta, Domain SSO, etc.)?
Does the issue also occur when using Remote Desktop Manager, the web interface, or Devolutions Workspace Desktop/Mobile?
Best regards,
Olivier Désalliers
Hello Olivier.
We are running DVLS Server 2024.3.11.0.
We use Microsoft authentication with DUO MFA configured separately in DVLS.
We sometimes face issues in RDM when we have longer outages, but it stays connected.
We don't use Workspace desktop nor mobile for now.
Cheers.
Marcel
Hi,
Do you use "ID Tokens" in your Authentication section of your Enter App Registration:

Hello Olivier.
No we don't. Is that a recommended setting ?
Your support didn't go into these details when I asked about this.
Cheers.
Marcel
I enabled it now.
Hi,
We had a user who experienced a similar issue after migrating from AD Domain to Entra ID.
Enabling the ID Token in the Authentication section resolved the issue for them.
This also helped with connectivity issues when using RDM and other products connected to DVLS.
Best regards,
Olivier Désalliers
Hi.
Thank you for the feedback.
We will try it out and let you know how it works out for us.
Cheers.
Marcel
Hello Olivier.
We still have many disconnections with the browser extension.
Any other tip ?
Best regards.
Marcel
Hello Marcel,
Since it's a bug and not a feature request, I have moved this thread to the appropriate section.
We have opened a case in our ticketing system, and we will contact you to gather some logs.
Once a solution is found, we will post it here.
Thank you for your collaboration.
Best regards,
Érica Poirier
Hello Marcel,
Could you validate if you have that option checked or not ?
That option is used if you want any user to be logged out when his IP change. It could be useful if the user and his device are always in the same network and you want to be sure that the token is used only in that network. As soon as you can have a different IP and you want to avoid disconnection, we suggest to remove that check.
Let me know if that help.
Best regards,
François Dubois

Hello.
The setting is unchecked.
We can access our DVLS Server internally only.
I will follow-up in the ticket for the rest.
Thank you and best regards.
