Separate option for JIT Checkout Reason

At the moment there is only one option to set if a checkout reason is mandatory or optional.
Because we user our priviledged account the whole day setting this reason to mandatory has no use but when asking for extra privileges with JIT we want to set a reason.

Is it possible add an additional option to make the checkout reason mandatory when doing a checkout with JIT rights so there are 4 options to set?

Thank you for your request. It is something possible for sure. We could add one more option here to force the reason only if a JIT elevation is requested.

I'm thinking as I'm writing, do you think it would be useful to have that extra option on the approval mode and even on the self approve setting ?

For us this option should be available on both mode and not only when there is an approval flow (I think it should be enough to make one extra setting to not overcomplicate this :)). For your information, we use JIT on combination with self approval. Filling in the reason is for us important for auditing.

Hi,

In 2025.3,
we added the option on the approval mode, the self-checkout, the reason and the ticket number to react differently when there is a Jit elevation requested or not.
