Gtk-CRITICAL

avatar

When running Remote Desktop Manager Free 2024.3.1.1 on Ubuntu 24.04 I can see the error in the terminal where I launch the app:

(RemoteDesktopManager:3776): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 17:35:07.777: gtk_widget_grab_default: assertion 'gtk_widget_get_can_default (widget)' failed

I'm not sure what would be the required version for GTK Libraries. I have:

dpkg -l | grep libgtk2.0-0
ii libgtk2.0-0t64:amd64 2.24.33-4ubuntu1.1 amd64 GTK graphical user interface library - old version

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this issue.

After reviewing your case, we identified that the GTK 2 version you are using is deprecated, which may be contributing to the problem.

To resolve this, please update to GTK 3 or GTK 4 to ensure compatibility with RDM.

Once you've updated GTK, kindly relaunch RDM and let us know if the issue is resolved.

Best regards,

Tommy Sanders

Hello,

Following a discussion with the developers, we have confirmed that RDM Linux is currently using GTK 3, which is likely the version installed on your PC.

The error message you are seeing is a known issue that appears for all users.

However, it does not affect any RDM sessions, so there is no need for concern. The developers are aware of the issue and are continuing to investigate, but for now, the message can safely be ignored.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

Tommy Sanders
