Devolutions Password Manager extension connected to Devolutions Cloud not prompting to save website credentials
We are currently in the process of rolling out Devolutions to our IT department, and the transition has been smooth for the majority of users. However, I recently encountered an issue with a user who, despite having the browser extension installed and connected, is not prompted to save credentials. This user's setup mirrors that of every other user. Do you have any insights into why this might be occurring?
I have tried the exact webpages this user is using and get prompted to save the credentials.
Hi,
Could you let us know which browser is being used and the data source/space the extension is connected to? (Remote Desktop Manager, Hub Business, Hub Personal, or Devolutions Server)
The save credentials prompt should appear when the "Show save credentials dialog" option is enabled in the extension settings and the entered username/password are not already stored in any website entries within the synced vaults.
Best regards,
Olivier Désalliers
Edge and Chrome were both tried, Hub Business and Remote Desktop Manager. The Show Save credentials dialog option is selected and there are currently no credentials stored in either DataSource.
Hi,
Could you please provide us with a video demonstrating the issue the user is experiencing? You can send it to me directly via Private/Direct Message.
Does the issue occur on all websites, or just specific ones? Does it still happen after restarting the browser or reinstalling the extension?
Best regards,
Olivier Désalliers
Not a problem, I have asked the user for a video and will DM it when I get it. Essentially any webpage that they log into does not prompt for credentials to be saved. I have tried multiple webpages with them, On my device it prompts me for each webpage that we have tested, but none have prompted on theirs.
Still occurs after browser restarts, device restart, and extension reinstall.
