Was the first installation of Workspace done using WinGet, or did you install it from the MSI (or MSIX) and then try to update it using WinGet?

yes with winget but then I upgraded normally because winget wouldn't do upgrade.

I believe the problem lies in the change of installation sources. To ensure that updates are applied correctly, the installation should come from the MSI.

I don't think the problem is in the change of installation source.
On the new clean machine, I have installed workspace with winget but check after that show there is old version and do install again.

After some testing and research, we have been able to reproduce the issue, but it is not related to Workspace. We found this post regarding the issue on Microsoft's side.

From what we saw, it is a known issue on their end. It is related to Winget directly. If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know.
