Hello,

My team and I, we are looking for a solution to backup for our vaults, In case that someone deletes them permanently, so we find out that we can export all vault with powershell as CSV or json file. When we tried to create a simulation test to reimport the data :

  • We have discovered that we need to recreate a vault and import it manually. My initial inquiry is whether there is a PowerShell command line or script to import to our Devolutions hub.
  • And olso when we tried to export data as CSV/json file with powershell, there is nothing in our recovered vault no password only folder and file without a password and Unhealthy state, We did the import with Devolution Hub importer and also manually in the web page of our devolutions hub business.


  • What i have noticed is that when we do export/import from the web manually everything is fine but it will take too much time to export and import all the vaults one by one.

Hello,

Currently, the export via the web interface is the best way to go. It supports the RDM format and can be re-imported after.

The Powershell module was originally thought as a way to export all vaults including the user vault without the ability to re-import them. For example, if you simply want a copy of all vault data stored somewhere else. As it stands, it's not compatible with RDM's format (or Hub Importer). We do have an improvement in our backlog to support RDM's format but no exact dates for the release. On a side note, there's currently an issue when exporting with the CSV format with the Powershell module. If you have multiple entry types, only the first type will be correctly exported and remaining entries will be missing some columns. I would advise against using the CSV format until that issue is resolved.
