Hello,
I want to use your nice tool with the Proxmox VE Web GUI. But we are using WebAuthn with YubiKeys as a second factor.

Hi,
Could you elaborate a bit? I'm not familiar with Proxmox and I'm not sure how exactly you want to use this with RDM? How are you using this with RDM?
Best regards,

Hi there,
I believe what the TO really was getting to was having similar features for FIDO2 authentication as there are in the Windows version. For example, I am not able to use FIDO2 keys to sign-in to web services such as Azure AD from within the RDP session on my MAC. Here are the features available on Windows:
Especially the "WebAuthn" feature is completely missing in the MAC version:
Having that would help us use the RDP manager more effitiently.
Thanks!
Thorben

Hi thorbenpoeschus,
We just checked in the FreeRDP project (which is what is used to support RDP sessions in RDM Mac), and it doesn't support WebAuthn. A ticket is opened there (https://github.com/FreeRDP/FreeRDP/issues/8730), but we don't if and when this would be implemented.
Best regards,

Hi Xavier,
Pardon me for reviving an old topic. While having WebAuthn support in RDP would also be nice, the original poster and myself have this request for the embedded browser experience on MacOS. I don't have a Windows installation available to see if this is available on there, but can you say anything about support for hardware keys in the embedded browser?
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Patrick
Hi patrick,
I am not very familiar with WebAuthn in general, and after a quick search, it's not immediately evident how this would be supported with the WebKit component (what is used for the embedded Web Browser). I'll open a ticket for investigation, but can provide any guarantee as of yet.
Best regards,
Xavier Fortin
