How can I run a specific playlist from the command line ?
I run RDM in multiple virtual desktops on Windows 10 at the same time. Once I launch RDM in a particular virtual desktop I run 1 of 7 different Playlists. Each Play list has a specific number of Remote Desktop sessions defined.
So now when i reboot my Windows 10 Desktop PC - I have a script that I run that switches to a particular desktop, launches RDM, waits for some pre-determined time, then switches to another desktop, launches RDM, waits, switches, etc. This script launches 7 instances of RDM in 7 different windows 10 virtual desktops.
Once RDM is running in all 7 virtual desktops - I have to switch into each one to run the specific playlist for that virtual desktop.
I have to do this of course 7 times - then when I am done there are 7 copies of RDM running in 7 different virtual desktops - with somewhere around 25 to 30 RDP sessions running across those 7 RDM sessions.
I would like to run RDM and pass it for example a specific playlist. That way I can fully automate my auto RDM launch script and save a bunch of manual time.
Anyway to do this ???
Hello,
In your play list management window, click on the desired play list, click on Edit, go to the "Entry Information" tab and click on the copy at the end of the command line. If you run RDM with that command line, the play list will open automatically. Alternatively, you could also create a desktop shortcut (2 buttons above).
Please let us know if this solves your issue!
