Is the Advisories mailing list working?

Hello Daniel,

We indeed had an issue on our side with this list so no email was sent in the past.

As of what I know, the issue on our side and with follow.it is resolved so when a new advisories will be pushed online, you will receive it.

After validation with my webteam, it seems that you registration was not confirmed. This may explain why you didn't receive our email about the advisories.

Is it possible for you to enter again your email here https://devolutions.net/security/advisories/ at the bottom and confirm the registration please?

When I try to sign up again, I get an error "You are already following this feed. To modify your follow settings, please login."
I logged in at follow.it and checked all the settings there - everything seems fine. I couldn't find any way to confirm my account.

I did not receive the last advisory from 2023-02-03. I checked the message trace on our Exchange Online, and the only mail from "follow.it" in the last week was the sign-up confirmation for my colleague. He is now signed up too, and we'll see if he receives the next advisory.

Here is the response we received from the support of follow.it:

Seems like Daniel’s email, as well as a few more got their deliveries bounced. We have applied a small fix to all your subscribers’ account configurations and the deliveries should continue as usual. Could you kindly observe in the following releases? Of course, please let us know if this issue happens again and we will investigate right away.

Your account should now work as expected, please let us know if you have any issues in the future!

Though it would be interesting what the bounce message was. It must have been at stage before the sender/recipient is known, because we couldn't find anything in our Exchange Online logs

Here is the reply from follow.it when we submitted your request:

The bounce has happened due to a false-positive spam report, for which we come across from time to time, although rarely.

We have changed the assigned server of this user, which should be more “custom provider” friendly, and your future posts should be delivered without a hitch :) If the error seem to be persisting though, please feel free to let us know and we will investigate further.

fyi I got a mail from follow.it, where I clicked the confirm link:

Please confirm this is correct and you want to receive this content by clicking here, or decline if you don't want to receive it.

edit: I didn't notice at first, but that mail contains the new advisory that was published. This is how it looks.



I don't know if it's possible, but I'd prefer to receive all the information in the advisory within the email. I didn't even notice the "DEVO-2023-0003" is a lickable clink.

At least I'm receiving emails now, so it's fixed. Thank you!
