RDM MAC is wonderful in the RDP space. The inheritance of settings is great!!
The SSH shell connections can be improved!!
It would benefit greatly featuring:
In general, take a look at Termius.
Hi jorgedelgado,
Thanks for the feedback!
I'll address your point one by one.
themes: beyond default and override which is only one slot. A list of imported themes would be nice.
This is a good idea! I'm guessing you'd want the profiles to be selectable on a per-entry basis?
snippets: text to be inserted into the terminal prompt
This is already possible with the Macro Bar. You can follow the instruction defined on the following post to configure this: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/37277/shortcut-button-bar#164785
keyword highlighting: recognizing special patterns like IPs, domains, etc and changing the colors for them
This is also possible with the Syntax Highlighting feature (in Preferences -> Types -> Syntax Highlighting):
recognizing URLs and make then clickable
I'll have to get in touch with our Terminal team to see if this is something they can add. I'll open a ticket.

Yes, regarding the themes I meant like importing themes into the general preferences for the whole RDM app and then the list of imported themes be available to all the different connections.
For the other 2 items: AWESOME !!!
Thank you very much!
Hi jorgedelgado,
Perfect, that's what I thought. I've already opened the ticket for this.

Hi jorgedelgado,
I'm reaching back to get a bit more information on the theme feature. RDM as this particularity of being an application being used both by single individual (as a local connection vault with a local data source) and by teams (with a database available to multiple users sharing the same entries).
My original implementation idea was to add a table of themes in the Preferences, and the colours that are actually configurable in the Preferences would become the "Default" (and unremovable) theme in the table. Following that, the current popup button in the SSH entries would now contain, not only the "Default" and "Custom" options, but also all additional themes configured in the preferences.
Unfortunately, there is no way to ensure multiple users would have the same list of themes configured in all of there preferences, which would make the popup button acts weird if it's set to a theme that a particular user doesn't have. That being said, it is possible to workaround this. We can make sure we handle "unsupported" theme that will then just falls back to the default. There's a bit more UI tweaks to be made, but it's feasible.
But before going forth with this, I just wanted to make sure that this is what you had in mind. I've compared with iTerm2 (a relatively popular terminal application for macOS) and they way to handle their profiles (equivalent of what we've been calling theme) is to actually open new tab by explicitly choosing the theme when opening it. In RDM, this could be Right Clicking on en entry and selecting an "Open with Theme... -> <Specific Theme>" menu, which would launch the session (as if "Open" had been selected) but by applying the theme first.
I realize that iTerm2 is a very different application (that does not save entries like RDM does), but I just wanted to make sure of your use case before proceeding in any specific directions.

Xavier Fortin
Hi,
We have added the option to save themes and profiles for terminals on the latest version of RDM Mac (2024.2.7.3)
and we would be happy to hear you thought about it.

Hello,
Was there any update on the feature to recognize URLs in the Terminal and make them clickable to open in the default browser?
Thank you for your time.
