It would be great to package an AppImage. Very similar to Flatpak, but without the dependency on a management plane.

For the end user, an AppImage is just a portable executable that can be ran anywhere. The system doesn't need to support it like Snap or Flatpak.

This is something we will evaluate as we are pushing to be more distro independent.
