Hi

I get the following after updating to the newest beta:
forum image

It is a total new installation, with no custom setting, and definitely not any versioning.

I'm positive I have seen a setting somewhere to allow BETA DB upgrades, but I can't find it anymore, do I remember wrong?

Regards Lars

Hello,

Have you updated RDM to the latest beta version 2022.1.9?

If so, because of a breaking change, RDM 2022.1 requires DVLS 2022.1 which is not yet available publicly.

Let me know if you're willing to test DVLS 2022. in a test environment.

Best regards,

Érica Poirier

I am facing the same issue. Can you please DM me the link as well? When do you anticipate having it released?

Hello,
when 2022.1.9 leaves beta, it is still possible that DVLS is requiered to use new Versions?
Just asking because we only use RDM in our Company.

Hi

DVLS isn't required when only using RDM, with another data source as DB.
This is only relevant if you were running DVLS and wanted to connect the RDM Beta to DVLS.

Hope it makes sense :)

Hello,

I confirm what Lars has mentioned, if you use only RDM with another data source than DVLS, you can use the beta 2022.1.9. DVLS is not required in that scenario.

Please note that if you are using version 2021.2.x, then a database upgrade will be required when installing 2022.1.9. Please see this topic for more information.

Hey

It has been published here: Download - Devolutions Server a bit further down the site.
But I would advice to way for a revicion higher thatn 2022.1.6.0 as I have to login every 5 minutes or so.

So I just updated w/o realizing this would break me from the previous version to 2022.1.3.0 and then I started getting this message. The data source 'Local Data Source' requires a Remote Desktop Manager version lower or equal than 2021.2.9999.
Is there any way to revert back to the previous version?

@dkeller,

I think you have posted in the wrong thread.

Are you running RDM Mac?
Is your datasource SQLite?

Is there any movement on the bug introduced in DVLS 22.1.7.0 where I have to continually login. Had to login 10 times and it still does not show the entries in the data source. Am currently in a trial for RDM and DVLS and this is making me think twice. I have been using RDM personally for many years and was trying to get it implemented for my team, but am not too sure now.

RDM Enterprise 2022.1.11.0

Hello,

This issue should have been fixed in DVLS 2022.1.7.0.

What browser are you using?

Could you please try to delete the Local storage on your browser for the DVLS login page to see if that will help? Here is an article that explain how to delete it in Chrome.

I did that and am still getting numerous logins when launching RDM.

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

Please create a new DVLS data source in RDM and let me know if that helps. Do not use the Duplicate button to create the data source to avoid keeping any settings from the original data source.

I am running on MacOS. Not sure if this is the wrong thread or not. Just know I lost all my listings and didn't see that coming. Need to find a way to bring them back if possible.

In additions, users with RDM 2021.2.29.0 can connect to the data source, but keep getting disconnected. This is unusable for us. When you say create a new DVLS data source, are you talking about removing the existing one and connecting back to the same server?

Support Team,
OK so wanted to update you and not just complain at you.... I took another update this morning (YES Im on MacOS) and the datasource is back to being available. Not sure about any other bugs, have not gotten that far. BUT I will be taking a backup to have a current backup available. Will keep you posted if I run into any other issues along these lines.

Hello,

@sblizzard, as stated on the DVLS 2022.1.7 release notes, RDM 2022.1 is required to connect on the new version. So RDM 2021.x will produce unwanted behaviour like keep getting disconnected.

About the new data source, yes I meant to delete the actual data source in RDM and then connect to the same server.

Are you able to connect on the DVLS web UI?

I think it would be easier to troubleshoot this problem in a remote session if recreating the data source doesn't help. Then please send an email to service@devolutions.net and we will send you a link to our reservation system.

@dkeller,

Your issue is not the same reported here.

If you still encounter an issue with your RDM Mac, please open a new thread here

So, my problem is resolved. Since we just started the trial, I did not have the URL set up correctly and had the IP address in the data source. Once I fixed DNS, IIS applied the cert and changed the data source settings, it looks like it is working. Lesson learned. Thanks for your patience.
