RDP connection works with given credentials
In 'Local Devices and Resources', tick 'Hard drives' and select a subfolder in my home folder.
In the RDP session, I see a 'drive' called 'gvfs' originating from my laptop.
This gvfs drive is empty, although the folder on my laptop is not.
Copying a file results in an error:
although there is plenty of space on my local drive.
Trying to create a folder inside this drive results in another error:
Using this same folder in a Remmina RDP session works fine.
Hi David,
When I redirect a folder from my home directory, the redirected folder name in Windows is the same as it is on Linux.
My redirected drive is, however, not always shown in the explorer left panel. If I click on This Computer, the drive is listed under Redirected Drives and folders.
In your RDP session's settings, if All Drives is also ticked, it's possible the gvfs drive is a SD card reader or other media reader with no media inserted.

. under 'This Computer', the drive is listed as 'gvfs', with the above issues
. 'Redirect all disk drives' is not ticked
Important detail:
The folder sharing works when using the 'Embedded' RDP viewer; the issue described above appears only when using the 'External' viewer.
(edit)
'Undocked' also works fine.
Indeed, when running the session through xfreerdp, the redirected drive is not working properly.
I'll investigate.
