I've attached files to some entries and I see the eye icon that would lead me to believe I can view the attachment without downloading it. No matter what attachment type i try this on (png, gif, pdf, txt) it always pops open a dialog to 'look in the app store'. Even after choosing an app, it doesn't display the document. What am i missing?

Hi, can you tell us what type of mobile you use (Android or iOS)? Also, which version you're on (Settings -> About us -> Version)?

Thank you

Sure. We aren't using mobile at all. This is happening in the Windows desktop app (2021.1.5.746) running on Windows 10 (10.0.19042 build 19042).

Ha! Alright, we'll look into that, thank you.

Hello,

We were able to reproduce the issue. We created a bug for it and added it to the backlog. We will let you know once it's fixed.

Have a good day!

Hello,

Please when will this issue of viewing attachments without download be resolved.

Attachments with pdf, txt and images (.png) works.

However, attachments with .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .vsd etc do not work. When you click on the view button, attachments with these extensions get downloaded to the download folder.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. We will review the possibility of supporting document types that are not currently browser-compatible and explore potential solutions.

Have a good day!

Hi,

Just a quick note to let you know that this feature will be available in the next release of Workspace 2024.3.3. It will work with most text-based files (like .txt, .csv, .cfg, etc.), but it won’t support proprietary formats like .doc or .xls.

Best regards,
