Good day all,
First of all my sincere apologies if I'm asking this in the wrong place. I've been googling but unfortunately unable to find how to connect easily to multiple servers.
We have a couple of servers that we check daily to see if certain interfaces are running. I was wondering instead opening one by one, to create a "list" of these servers and quick-connect to all of them at the same time?
If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.
Thank you for your time!
Lex
Hello Lex,
You can create a play list (under the Edit tab), it was made specially for your scenario. For more information:

Hello Richard,
Thank you so much for your response! Unfortunately when I click on playlist nothing happens. Do I have to be in online mode? (tried both)
I am on a ship with huge latency huge latency which might affect this function? Or could it be disabled somewhere?
I'm running on Enterprise Edition 2020.3.27.0 64-bit
Thank you,
Lex
Hello Lex,
It should not be disabled. When you click on the option, it should be prompted if you want to create a new one or go to the "Play List Management...":
You can create a new one, enter a name (in my example I created it in my User Vault), and then select which sessions you want it to contain:
You can then open that list and it will open the connections, in my example, it opens 3 RDP sessions.
If it is still not working for you, can you please provide the version of RDM you are using, as well as the type of data source?
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Wow thank you. I guess I had to go into "Play List Management" first before I was able to click Edit -> Playlist.
Much appreciated!
Hi Richard,
Hopefully my last question but whenever I want to connect to my playlist, would the only way be through Play List Management? I don't see it just under "Play List" button.
Hello Lex,
It depends how you saved the play list. If you chose Local, it is only available using the manager. User vault will be an entry in your own user, and if it was shared, it will be an entry in a vault.

I don't know if here is the right place to ask, but is there a way to connect to multiple servers at once, using the same credentials for all? I'll need to do updates in a lot of servers, and if it had a way to just copy the server names from the .txt file, so I could enter multiples at once would be awesome
Hello,
Sorry for the delay.
its indeed possible to accomplish what you would like inside RDM. I would recommend placing all your entries under the same folder, configure the credential at the folder level and set the sessions to inherited. With this configuration, all your entries will use the same credential to authenticate.
