Hello,
it should be made possible, just like in the Windows version, to be able to automatically establish a VPN connection when connecting to a data source.
We use this feature for our entire company to connect ~100 external technicians to our data source. 95% of them use the Windows version where this is possible without problems, but the MAC users unfortunately always have to connect to the database manually.
The service desk has already validated that this is possible and asked me to report this as a feature request.
Reply vom Support Desk:
Received confirmation from the RDM Mac team that the data source VPN feature
could be implemented in RDM Mac. All we would need is your official feature
request on our forum. Our feature request forum allows our community to
submit/share ideas with our engineering department, our service desk and our
management team. It’s also an opportunity to our community to demonstrate
interest in your idea. We use this interest to prioritize the features we
implement.
I hope that this feature can be implemented promptly so that we can make our technicians working with the Remote Desktop Manager at MAC even more pleasant.
Best regards
Patrick Karl
Hello,
Sorry for the delay.
A ticket has been opened to our engineering department regarding your request. However, at the moment, I cannot provide you a timeline for it's delivery.
Best regards,
