Description:
Android 10, Remote Desktop Manager 2020.1.2.0.
When connected to a DOD or Dropbox, no data is imported, the state is always "Not connected".
We have tested both data sources (DOD and Dropbox) and they work as expected.
To send us the logs report, open the navigation drawer, click on “”Help and Support”, then “Submit a Support Ticket”.
Best Regards,
Johann Dufaud
When I try to send out diagnostic information, the message appears: "Support message cannot be sent. No available internet connection found."
All other programs work correctly.
Hi, thanks for your reply.
What is your android device and android version ?
Are you using mobile data, wifi or anything else ?
Your DOD and DropBox problem could be related to the network issue.
Best Regards,
Johann Dufaud
I use Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 (Mokee Android 10) and Xiaomi Mi9T (MIUI 11 with Android 10), all connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
On home computers (MacBook and iMac) Remote Desktop Manager connects to the DOD and DropBox without problems over the same Wi-Fi network as the mobile version does not work.
On mobile devices in the browser the Devolutions and DropBox websites open without any problems.
Hi,
Can you confirm that DOD and Dropbox do not work on both devices?
Do you have another Android device (other than Xiaomi) that you could use to test DOD and DropBox?
Best Regards,
Johann Dufaud
Additionally, I tested it on Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (hlte, LineageOS 16.0 Android 9), the result has not changed... =(
All other installed applications (free and commercial) work perfectly.
I added screenshots from Galaxy Note 3 and Mi Pad 3.

Hi,
This problem could be related to the custom Android OS versions that you are running: LineageOS, Mokee etc... We use some OS functions to check if the internet is connected,
and we think they aren't working properly or do not exist on the custom OS that you are using.
You previously mentioned that both DropBox and DOD data sources have already worked on your devices.
Did your devices have the same OS installed when both data sources were working? If so, do you remembers the RDM Android version number that you were running?
Our code for DOD and DropBox has not changed recently. Have you changed change something on your devices?
We could prepare a custom build without internet check to verify if the error is related to what we think it might be.
If you are interested, just send an email to jdufaud@devolutions.net and we will send you a link to download the custom build.
Thank you for your reply.
Best Regards,
Johann Dufaud
Earlier I did not use RDM on Android, this is the first attempt :).
Your doubts about LineageOS, Mokee are understandable, but I checked RDM work on Xiaomi MI9T smartphone, which was not modified at all, RDM doesn't work either.
MI9T has official MIUI 11 firmware based on Android 10.
Maybe I'm wrong somewhere and set it up incorrectly?
I set it up as follows:
- I'm installing RDM
- I skip all the windows that pop up at the first start
- Data Source -> DropBox (specify master key and path to the folder in dropbox)
- open the Vault menu item and see "Not connected."
I don't change any other parameters.
P.S. I apologize for my English: I use a deepl translator.
Your setup seems to be correct.
Please send an email at jdufaud@devolutions.net, we will create a custom build for you. The build is device architecture specific, which device do you want us to build it for?
Johann Dufaud
I sent an email. If I understood the question correctly: for Xiaomi Mi Pad 3.
Hi,
I’ve answered to your mail with the custom build.
Let us know if it’s working.
Best Regards,
Johann Dufaud
