DESCRIPTION
In my cloud profile, I've some FTP connection entries, from Android app when I try perform "Open" or "View" tasks on them, "Open" task return "Disconnected - FAIL" error message, and "View" outputs "The entry cannot be viewed!". I could think that may be a bug entry, but it really seems a missing feature.
It would be nice to have a feedback on this, thanks!
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. Do you also use RDM Windows? If so, can you open your session with RDM Windows?

Hello Nicolas,
yes I use RDM for Windows too, and yes I can open FTP sessions without hassle on it.
Hi Valerio,
First, do you use an IP address or a hostname? If you use a host name, can you try to replace it with the ip address?
Second, are the FTP session credentials directlty in the session (username and password) or do you use the credentials repository, inherited credentials, custom user settings or other?

Nicolas Dufour
Thanks.
Hi Valerio,
Thank you for the information.
Can you do the following and send me the results at : ndufour@devolutions.net
1) Edit your FTP connection with RDM Windows
2) In the FTP Tab, set the Verbose level to 1
3) Make sur Enable logging is checked
4) Save the connection
5) Open the connection
6) A error message will be displayed. Close the Error Message
7) Tap on the 3 dots (upper right corner of the window) top open the window's menu
8) Select Show logs
9) The logs will be displayed in the bottom of the screen. Select copy to copy the logs.

Hi Valerio,
Unfortunately, the
logs do not give us a lot of info ☹
Normally when we try to view an entry and we do not
support it, the message: The entry cannot be viewed is displayed.
However, it does not mean it cannot be opened.
Can you export your session with RDM Windows and send it to me (ndufour@devolutions.net). You can change the password
for something like 123456. I should be able to import it and see all the
details.
Best Regards,
Nicolas Dufour
