Hello
RDM for iOS ack as a third-pasrty password manager app and you can add the autofill features in iOS12 like other password manager already do (LastPass for example).
Thanks

Thank you for your feedback. We will investigate this feature.

Hello Nicolas
do you have any news about autofill feature?
thanks

Hi,

It is on our todo list. We will start to implement the autofill feature on Android and once completed, we will work on the IOS version.
We should start to work on the Android version in 2,3 weeks.

This is much wanted. Single reason I have not make the complete switch to RDM yet

Hello. Any news?
now iOS 14 can permit to set a different default browser.
can this feature help you to use rdm to autofill with browser extensions?

avatar

Hi,

A prototype has been made and a major issue has been encountered.
Despite all the new features available in IOS, it still enforces a very low memory consumption limit for application extensions.
RDM IOS can handle many things and uses more memory than an application that solely manages passwords.
Since this limitation resulted in the application being unstable, we've decided to put the project on hold.

Hi,

That feature is still on hold.

Hi,

With the recent changes with Lastpass, I would love to drop their apps and use my Private Vault under RDM for IOS for Autofill.

Please let us know if it's still under consideration of development. My only alternative is to look at Bitwarden and I would prefer to keep only one password solution and all my password under RDM

Hello,

An alternative would be to use Password Hub Personal as a data source, since it also allows you to fill credentials on your iOS device.

You can find more information on our website and on our blog.

Hello

so Password Hub (free o business) can be used for autofill in IOS.
But now i have a user vault in my RDM (paid version with Azure database).
We should understand if it's possible to to have access to the hub repository directly from the RDM (as a new personal vault) and also transfer the personal vault on hub.
If this is not possible there is a risk of having two unsynchronized password repositories.

Hi,

The next version will support both Hub Personal and Hub business. You will be able to use the same data source for both applications.

Hello Nicolas

in RDM Enterprise i have a main data source in Azure Sql so it is the mail container for vault and user vault.
Now to use autofill i must use Password Hub (free in my case) but all my web credential entries (personal or not) are in RDM (Azure).
There is some ideas to syncro between this different vault to use RDM as unique vault across platform?

Hello Maran Michele,

It's not possible to use 2 datasources at the same time or to sync 2 datasources together.
Unfortunately, if you would like to have your sessions in the private vault of SQL Azure and on Password HUB Personal, you would need to export/import your session from one to the other to maintain both places up to date.

Hello Jeff
It seems to me a rather paradoxical situation.
Devolution have a tool for autofill in IOS (Password Hub) but it doesn't exists same solution for RDM for memory consumption.
These problems seem unsolvable so i ask Devolution to find a better solution to use RDM in conjunction with Passwors Hub.
For example ad automate tool to syncro web login between data source, without ask me to make export / import.
Thanks

Hello Jeff
any news about the ability to sync a RDM user valut with Devolution Hub Personal?
Thanks

Hello Maran Michele,

It's something that our engineering department is evaluating for RDM Windows first, but it's not on the roadmap for now.

We need to evaluate the usage of DOD by our community, the impact on our users and so on.

Unfortunately, I cannot provide further information, but when I will have more information, I will post it here

another vote for an autofill solution to RDM. maybe create a separate app for this. Or sync with Password Hub and give us the ability to use it at no extra cost. Having to run both RDM and keepass together is a real headache. There's duplication of work to maintain the passwords and often people forget to add/modify both.

Hi,

If you're looking for an alternative application for autofill functionality, the Devolutions Workspace application is a great choice. This application fully supports autofill capabilities while also offering seamless integration with RDM's shared data source. However, please note that is doesn't support opening sessions, you will have to use RDM for that.

thanks for the tip. we're a small business and paying for a separate product as a workaround is not in our budget. i also don't believe devolutions workspace supports offline mode, which is going to be an inconvenience for us.

avatar

Hi,

Devolutions Workspace is a free solution. While offline mode is not currently supported, I'm pleased to inform you that it should be introduced in the upcoming October release.

Hello Nicolas

i have RDM Enterprise with Azure Sql data source.
Can use vault in this data source with Workspace?

Thanks

avatar

Hi Nicolas, we only have RDM using SQL Server backend, used for remote access & password manager. i can't see in your documentation how to integrate devolutions workspace with RDM. Can you please point me to the right documentation? thanks.

avatar

Hi,

Devolutions Workspace does not support SQL Server/SQL Azure. The data sources supported by Workspace are: Devolutions Hub Personal, Devolutions Hub Business and Devolutions Server (DVLS).

Best Regards,

Nicolas Dufour

yeah, there lies the issue, devolutions server is not free. RDM costs a lot for us and we're still maintaining 2 password managers separately because the cost to get devolutions server is not justifiable. We do not want to use the Hub as this is a cloud based solution which is not suitable for us due to security requirements. Our passwords must be kept onshore and most preferably on-premise.

License subscription mode is more expensive compared to old perpetual license.
For a team with a shared data source, an affordable bundle with RDP + Server or Hub is missing from the price list.
