FortiClient IPSec Add-On

avatar

Hello,

I'm having a little trouble configuring a ipsec tunnel with FortiClient Add-on.

My question here is how can i input the pre-shared key on the RDM Add-On?

Thanks very much!

I think, the Forticlient Addon is only for the SSL VPN Client

Ah yes, this is for old Fortigate Versions.

No one use one Firewalls old versions. :)
This is to dangerous.

And for Remote Access is SSLVPN the easier way.

Sure i understand.

My problem here is that a client has a IPSec tunnel which all employes of my company use to access the client infrastructure.
Our goal is to automate the access and no employes need to know none of the passwords of access.

This specific client has the tunnel which i need to configure in RDM to access them ...

Do you know a work around of this problem ?

best regards,

Sorry no,
we only use SSL VPN for Remote Access and IPSec VPN only for Site-to-Site VPN.

Hello Guys,

Thanks Andreas for the posts and information.

@TSI, if you are using the old version of FortiClient, you can store Username/Password directly in the entry. But the tunnel needs to be configured on FortiClient install locally.

We also received requests to support the newest version of FortiClient, unfortunately we do not have access to FortiClient applications and servers to test. So we are currently looking for partner who can give us access to that kind of infrastructure.

Best regards,
