hello
when i open an embedded winscp connection and save a bookmark
if i close the connection and then reopen it, the bookmark i saved is gone
if i repeat the above but open the connection in external mode
the bookmark is saved when i reconnect
is it a bug in RDM ?
any help will be appreciated
Hello,
I just tested the bookmark for winSCP and I have the same behavior as you. Let me have a look with the engineering department if it's possible to have this feature with an external application.

Hello again,
I had a chat with the engineering department and they explain to me that we will try to repair this issue but with a external application that we integrate in embedded mode some feature could not work like the bookmark.
Did you test the SCP RDM session? Does it could be an alternative for you?
Best regards,
David Grandolfo
yes i did try your built in scp tool
but it's missing a lot of options that winscp offers
don't know if it helps but i found the same issue in the embedded filezilla
however it's solved there when you use saved sessions from filezilla instead of the direct connection
(unfortunately filezilla also is missing some functionality that i need or i would use it)
in embedded winscp using stored sessions didn't help.
maybe this will help your engineers find a solution
please let me know if they will be able to fix it
thanks
Hi,
Thanks for this information, I transferred it to the engineering department.
Best regards,
David Grandolfo
Hello,
I think I identified what causes the issue. When you close the RDM tab containing WinSCP, RDM kills the WinSCP process to close the application. This makes it so that WinSCP doesn't save its settings. If you go in the "commands" menu and exit from there (see screenshot), for me the bookmarks save properly.
This isn't something we can change or else RDM would never be able to close WinSCP.

ok thanks
i'll just close it with F10 when saving bookmarks or other config
Hi,
I have similar problem.
With the first winscp connection, this docked in RDM tab.
If I open a second winscp connection, this not docked inside RDM tab.
Its a bug RDM?
@eiglesi,
I was able to reproduce your issue in RDM 14.1.3.0. I suspect that you are using the same version as me.
A ticket has been opened to our engineering department.
The ticket number is RDMW-2115.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Thanks jeff.
Yes, the version is this (RDM 14.1.3.0).
