13.0.12.0 Sorting for Folder and Entries

After further testing, I think this might have been an issue with the entries themselves.

Like you, I had 2 entries right under the Root Folder but after deleting/restoring them in my SQL Server Data Source, the issue seems to have disappeared.

Could you please confirm?

can't confirm the behavoiur - I have 3 different repositories and the sorting issue is on all present. I tried the version history and restored a older config from the session - also the mentioned method with delete and restore - but both had no impact on the sorting view.

Ok, I have enabled (in 13.0.12) File => Options => User Interface => Tree view => Allow tree view column sorting.

But, in 13.0.8 this option was not enabed, and if you sort the entries in 13.0.12 that folder appears at first, it isn't sorted alphabetical

I've compared your file with both versions and if I sort alphabetically for both, I get a consistent behavior;


Could you please check if the sorting is set alphabetically for both versions?

yes thats correct, but the initial question was, if there is an option to get back the original order before version 13.0.12.
It was first folders and then entries (in alphabetical order) - if you change the order to this scenario, on your mentioned screenhsot you will see that the alphabetical order are not working.

As I previous said, in 13.0.8 the mentioned sort option was never enabled. Something with 13.0.12 has changed the sort order.

thank you very much for your investigation! In the past I never had checked the option "Allow tree view column sorting" so this would be fine for me :)

The main question is can you reproduce the sort behaviour issue and what was changed in the beta version - and (in best case) add an option to get back the old sort order ;)
