Hi,
stable release up to 12.0.8 doesn't work well with Insider Preview 16170. Embedded RDP Sessions try to connect and fail without any message.
Beta 12.4.7 works well. Just wanted to let you know.
Cheers,
Oliver
Hello,
Thank you for the feedback.
Best regards,
Jeff Dagenais
Hi again,
W10 build 16179 with RDM 12.4.8 (and 12.4.7) -> same silent failure again on embedded RDP session. Undocked is fine.
Probably related to the OneCore refactoring that Microsoft is working on?
Cheers,
Oliver
Hello,
Thank you for the details!
What OS are you connecting to? Could you please provide some details on the systems you connect to?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Hi,
tested some different servers.
Server 2003 works, 2008 and later fail (did not test 2016)
So it can to be related to pre-authentication or strong encryption.
Regards,
Oliver
Hello,
I am unable to reproduce your issue with a 2008R2 or 2012 and above.
Could you please check/uncheck the NLA option in the Connection tab of the RDP session?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Hi,
NLA is checked.
On unchecking the connection tries to establish for ever, rolling dots and nothing happens.
Regards,
Oliver
Hello,
Do you see something relevant in Help -> View Application Log?
Best regards,
Mark Beausejour
Hi,
no, nothing.
In Connections.log there is just Connecting/Disconnect within one second.
Regards, Oliver
Hello,
Since this a Windows 10 Insider Preview, there's nothing much we can do.
One last thing that you can try is to launch RDM 64bit to see if there is any change. Open the folder containing RDM, by default C:\Program Files (x86)\Devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager, and launch RemoteDesktopManager64.exe.
Best regards,
