Hi,
I found out that there is a SecureCRT addon for RDM.
I am currently using:
1) RDM - 11.7.6.0 x64
2) SecureCRT Add on - 2.1.0.0
3) SecureCRT 8.0.3 x64
I am trying to load a session on SecureCRT from a Microsoft RDP session in RDM.
Embedded SecureCRT screen comes up but nothing loads. (shows a blank screen)
I attached the screen shot of the window.
Am I missing a configuration step? Or setting it up incorrectly?
I want to have it so that it will pass off the username, password and hostname right away from my MS RDP session. (main connection)
I created a sub Connection and have inherited credential from my main RDP connection.
Please let me know if you need anything.
Thanks.

Hello,
Instead of having a sub-connection of a RDP session, have you tried to create a SecureCRT session directly in the same folder as your RDP session to see if it's working.
You can also try to open your SecureCRT session from the RDP session using a template. For more information, please consult

Hi,
I tried to create a template to open up a SecureCRT session from the link above.
However, the SecureCRT add-on really only allows you to select the existing session in SecureCRT application.
It doesn't have an entry to input the computer name/hostname of the client that you want to connect to. (unlike RDP sessions)
So I can't use the variable $HOST$.
In this case, are we able to modify the SecureCRT addon so that we would be able to pass off the hostname/IP address to SecureCRT?
Please let me know if you need anything.
Thanks.
Hello,
Yes, the SecureCRT add-on will allow you to use the session from SecureCRT.
If you want to open a SSH session and enter manually the hostname, username and password, I recommend you to use our SSH Shell session.
This session type is our own integration of Putty.
