Hi,

Is possible to setup plugin to open new connection in already exisiting instance of SSMS? Currently every connection opens new copy of SSMS application.

Unfortunately not at this time, we launch SSMS via its command line and it does not support merging sessions.

Your only option, if you are simply running predefined queries (no adhoc), would be to use a Data Report connection type they would open embedded in RDM.

Apologies if this isn't the proper forum for this but I'm running RDM v 11.0.12.0 with the SSMS v 2.5.0.0 add-on installed. When I open any SQL entry I receive the following error: Microsoft Visual Studio Shell Isolated: Cannot find one or more components. Please reinstall the application.

SSMS runs fine when not called with RDM.

Any ideas?

@Eric - this is very strange.

Could you please try running RDM-64 bit (RemoteDesktopManager64.exe) to see if that changes anything?
