Hello to ALL.

I'm a new user of Remote Desktop Manager, still in a test phase, and since i use RealVNC intensively i would like to know it it's possible to import RealVNC "VNC Adress Contacts" into Remote Desktop Manager.

I exported from "VNC Adress Contacts" using xml format all my contacts (regarding ALL the sessions i have) and tried to import them on Remote Desktop Manager, without any success.

If possible, i would like to know if it's possible or not to do it, and how.

Thanky you all in advance for any feedback.

Best regards,

Hugo Rosa.

Hello Maurice,
Unfortunatelly the only option from "VNC Address Book" (not contacts!) is xml format. In conclusion, it's not possible to do it at this moment.

Thank you.

No no, we can either transpose the xml to CSV using Excel, or play around with powershell

Csv import is easy, but not all fields are supported, we get most flexibility with powershell

How many entries do you need imported?

Hi,
We are working on this. Could you confirm if you want to import the xml as contact or as lVNC session type?

Hello David.

I would prefer to use the information stored on the xlm file by importing it as a VNC session type, in order to have it available imediatelly on Remote Desktop Manager.
Is this possible?

Thank you.

No problem.

Hello Hugo,

This will be available in the upcoming version. You will be able to choose between importing as contact or as a VNC session.
