The cfg is now moved in another folder if the application is installed in program files. Too many user got problem with the UAC. If you install the application in another folder, the cfg file will be saved in this directory.

Can you try the new version ?

For the bug with "start | run"?! It's a normal behavior, the default path if it's installed in program files, it's %userprofile%\local settings\ but if it's installed anywhere else, it's the current directory. So if I read write, you have two installation of Remote Desktop Manager 5.6 and each one of them use it's own config file?

i tested the new version and removed any fixed bugs reported in this thread. not fixed ones are now in new threads.
the bug with "start | run" happend after i updated to 5.6.0.2 .. so no two locations .. only one location in program files.

Any idea when this version will be out of beta? RDM is a mission-critical app for me, and I'm a bit nervous about running a beta build.

Very soon, I have one or two bug to fix and that it. I think that the next beta release will be the RC. All the other features will have to wait.
