GotoManage and GoToAssist is really the same product. But I would love if we can integrate.

Hi,
Thank you for the link. I have entered a feature request. I would personally love to add GotoManage and GoToAssist in RDM

David Hervieux

avatar

I would love to see this as well. We use GoToAssist and integration would be awesome.

avatar

Yes - Please include. We use GotoAssist for our remote support and integration with RDM would be very helpful

avatar

Any update on including GotoAssist ? We use it and RDM extensively and combining would be very helpful

avatar

David,

Can you give an update about the status

avatar

Hello,
Unfortunately I haven't tried the integration. My focus is now is on improving RDP High DPI and the new security engine.

Sorry about that.

I look forward to being able to run GoToAssist unattended sessions embedded in RDM. I access 90% of my clients using RDM. Love it!

Looking forward to the day when I can access 100% of them.

avatar

I would love this feature, please move up in wish list.

avatar

Good Morning. Saw this in the forum and wanted to ask about the status of adding GotoAssist support. Any updates on this ?

avatar

Hi,
The link for the API is broken. We don't know if it possible to do the integration but it's still on our todo list.

I am interested in an update on this.

There's API information on this link I believe:

https://developer.citrixonline.com/api/gotoassist-rs-api

Mainly the section on Sessions from what I can understand:

It looks like theres an API to retrieve the list of unattended machines (Get Machines) into RDM and potentially launch the session straight up in to GotoAssist?

Also create and launch attended sessions - all would appeal to our company.

Not sure if you can get all the same info as GotoAssist (which session is in session already etc)

avatar

Hi,
This is interesting. We will try to do an integration.

Hello,

A first implementation of GoToAssist has been added to RDM and should be available in the next beta.

Please let us know if you come across any problems.

Michaël Beaudin

avatar

I just updated and don't see this in the addons, has it made it to the next beta yet?

avatar

Hello,

GoToAssist is indeed already in the application.

The reason you don't see it is because it has not been included as an add-on but as a new session entry type. If you create a new entry and search for it you should be able to find it.

Michaël Beaudin

Ah, okay, I'm a bit confused.
I have my consumer key. I added it to my RDM along with my username/password to GTA. I'm successful in creating a new session, but when I tell it to connect to a specific computer, it fails. I would expect it to display a list of my unattended support computers that I can choose from a list. It does work for creating a new session, so that is working. Am I missing a step here?

avatar

Hello,

Could you please attach a screen shot of where it stops working for you?

Best regards,

Mark Beausejour

avatar

Sure, here you go. Note, if I change it to "new session" it will start.

avatar

The consumer key is an exact match to what I have from Citrix's website.

avatar

When you open GoToAssist and go in "Unattended Support" -> "View Unattended Computers" do you have a list of computers present there? Our application should be getting the same results as that list as long as the status is "Online" or "Offline".

Another loyal user here
I am getting the same error - here are my details

In Editting or adding a new RDM connection for GotoAssist
“New Session” opens GotoAssist Expert and allows me to select a computer to attach to.
As normal.
However, when I want it to
“Use Specific Computer” First get “No new computer found” popup dialog
Hit <OK>
Then an empty dialog
“GotoAssist Unattended Computers”
With <OK> grayed out
If I enter anything in the Search textbox
I get “Error Message Dialog”

We have 600 computers in groups by Clients in GotoAssist if that matters.

avatar

Yes, we have several hundred as well.

User#2 here
Same answers as jonyelton
My GotoAssist key is completely accurate.
I have GotoAssist Expert either open or on the side
No other tech is logged in with my GotoAssist Account
- And error occurs
and In GotoAssist - View Unattended works fine.
I see all computers

avatar

And I did a Send Error Report from RDM just a few minutes ago.

If it gives you more detailed info.

avatar

We'll look into the issue using another account and computer since everything is working on the machine used for testing this feature. Once we have some positive results we'll get back to you.

Regards,

Michaël Beaudin

avatar

I can give you a test credentials from our licenses, just send me a private ping if you want it.

avatar

Ditto here

Any assistance you need to get it working.
We love RDM, and really need it to integrate with G2A.

avatar

Hello,

If you have test credentials to send me please do send them in a private message.

Also I would like you guys to again try to obtain the list of unattended computers. Once done you can close the GoToAssist properties window.

After, go in "Help" -> "View Application Log" and see if there is an "error silent" entry at the time when you tried to obtain the list of computers. If there is please send the error to me either here or in a private message. (To do so all you have to do is select the entry and copy paste what is in the gray box below)

Regards,

Michaël Beaudin

avatar

Hello,

The issues that have been reported should be fixed in the next minor release of RDM.

Thank you all for your help! If you still encounter any problems please let me know in this thread.

Michaël Beaudin

I'm noticing that only about 50 unattended computers come up in the listing when selecting to use specific computer option. I have more than 50 machines in my unattended listing. Would it be possible to expand that list?

Also would it be possible to provide an embedded option for display when using GoToAssist connections? I find that I always need to run GoToAssist full screen to see enough of the screen. However their full screen option literally runs "full screen" so you cant easily tab through different machines or see emails as they come in.

avatar

Hello Ryan,

I'll get working on the 50 unattended computers limitation right away.

I'm unsure if it's possible to make GoToAssist embedded at the moment and will look into it. However if I can make it work only the GoToAssist application itself will be embedded it won't be possible to create one embedded window for each computer you connect to inside of RDM.

Regards,

Michaël Beaudin

avatar

Hello,

The issue regarding the 50 unattended computers limitation has been fixed internally and the changes should be present in the next minor release of RDM.

It will be impossible for us to make GoToAssist work as an embedded component for the moment.

Michaël Beaudin

I am having an issue where I am able to see all my pc's in my pc list but when ever I save it and go back into settings the pc I have selected is now blank. Also when I try to launch a new session it acts like its working but nothing happens. Any assistance would be greatly apreciated.

avatar

Hello Will,

Thank you for reporting this problem to us. We'll get working on the issue as soon as possible and keep you updated on the progress.

Regards,

Michaël Beaudin

avatar

Hello,

The issue originated from the changes GoToAssist made to their website. Some changes have been made to adapt to their new way of doing things and everything is now working properly.

The changes are currently only done locally but should be included in the next minor release of RDM.

Regards,

Michaël Beaudin

Thanks! I look forward to the next update.

This came into me by email. I wanted to provide this so the integration does not break. The integration is very useful to me.

Dear LogMeIn GoTo Developer,
Thank you for using the LogMeIn GoTo Developer Center. We want to make sure you are aware of important changes that will impact use of the Center and APIs. Please note that your action is required.
To improve security for our API program, we are going to start to enforce a strict OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol.
This change in authentication protocol is available now, however, the old protocol will also remain in place until August 14, 2018 to give you time to test and update your code to use the new authentication services available under h‌ttps://api.getgo.com/oauth/v2.
These changes affect the following APIs: GoToMeeting APIs, GoToWebinar APIs, GoToTraining APIs, GoToAssist APIs, GoToAssist SeeIt APIs and related Administrative APIs. GoToAssist Corporate APIs are not impacted by this change.
Please review the OAuth Migration Guide for details. Please direct any questions to developer-support@logmein.com.

Hello,

We have changed our GoToAssist integration so that it makes use of OAuth2.

The changes should be available starting from the version 13.0.19.0 of RDM.

The field "Consumer Key" will also be removed from your GoToAssist entry settings as it won't be needed anymore.

Regards,

Michaël Beaudin
