Shortcuts Like Start Menu - Copy Paste

Hi,

Please fix:

CMD = Start menu
CMD + C = Copy
CMD + V = Paste etc.
Sync Clipboard with mac = LOVE!!!

Take a look at JUMP Desktop for that please.
Thats the only program that i know that handles this OK.

So in Jump Desktop i can just copy paste from windows to mac. with no problems.
So is Remote Desktop Manager also going to support this?
Or do you need to implement this as new?

Thanks.

If you want to test maybe i can get you a copy of Jump form my applications folder to test.

Hi,

CMD as the Windows key should work. There is a setting under 'Local Resources' tab called 'Windows Key Passthrough'. Can you try that and let me know the result?

For copy and paste - do you mean you can just CTRL-C, CTRL-V files into the remote session window? Or something else?

I will take a look at Jump desktop.

Thanks, Richard

I'll try the CMD

Its simple...
Hope i'll explain it right.

When i'm connected to a server or windows 7 what even via Jump Desktop.
And lets say i'll open notepad.
Type some text in it. Than select the text and hit CMD + C (Copy on mac right)
Than i go to a text editor on my mac.
Overhere i Just hit CMD + V (paste right)
And than it pasts the text form my Windows connection that i made into the text file on the mac.
Without a problem, so thats really really handy.
Ofcource CTRL + C/V wil work internal in windows.
And ofcource files are not copied with CMD + C but text is so mush helpful.

Jump Offers that support and its great.

I hope that i explained it right.
Hope that its already in Remote Desktop Manager otherwise Implement it!!! its Really Really Really F***ing NicE!!!

__________

I did try the CMD key as being the Windows Key. Works indeed...

But i'm really waiting for CMD + C / V / X / A etc. to work wink

C = Copy
V = Paste
X = Cut
A = Select All

of cource.

Hi,

This should work as you describe it.

Can you check the setting "Clipboard" in the "Local Resources" tab?

If it doesn't work, there may be a bug.

Thanks, Richard

One thing - for now, in the remote session, you will need to use CTRL+C, CTRL+V.

Mapping the command key is something we will look at implementing.

Does not work indeed. Because CMD + A is also not working to select all text.

Clock7 yrs

How about CTRL+A?

It works with - CTRL + C etc.
But not with CMD + C etc.

Why CMD + C etc.
Because you don't need to think about that you are in windows.
I think that many people would agree with that so if you could implement that!
Would be Love to most of the people that switch between desktops all the time like our team.

Clock7 yrs

Sure. I understand why that is desirable.

It's certainly possible to implement. I will add a feature request.

Thanks, Richard

Still not works as expected.

now i can copy something (text) on the rdp host and it's possible to paste on my mac somwhere as text - thats good
but the other direction not works.

I want to copy text (or files) from my mac and paste it to a windows session, or copy/paste from one open session to another. This ist not working. in other RDP managers that is working fine (for example in mRemote on Windows)

Clock6 yrs

Hi,

Unfortunately the third party we are using to make rep connection(FreeRDP) doesn't support file copying. As for the other issues I will communicate with them to see what can be done.

Thank you for your feedback

I don't know any mac Remote Desktop app that can do that wink
I use Jump Desktop a lot until remote desktop manager for mac is Perfect but even that one does not have that feature.

Clock6 yrs

kayvanaarssen you are right, file copy doesn't work on mac, that's ok, but text copy/paste should work. Microsoft Remote Desktop on Mac has this feature in every direction, the new version is not so bad, but for handling a lot of remote hosts it is still unusable, for this I'm testing RDM

Hi,

garfield2003 can you tell me what is the source of your copy paste to help us pin point the issue.
We are suspecting that the html and rich text copy might be the source of the problem.

Thank you

Hi,
It's not a problem of formatted text like html or rich text.

i want to copy text from a text editor like textwrangler on mac to the remote session into windows notepad.

Clock6 yrs
