Hi,
is there a way to integrate the Gateprotect Firewall Administration Client?
Download:
https://www.mygateprotect.com/downloads/clients/gp_on_9_5_admin.exe
Parameters are:
adminclient.exe -h HOST/IP -u USERNAME -pw PASSWORD -nosplash
Thx for answer.
Kind Regards,
Thomas
Hello,
This should be done by the end of the week, I will get back to you soon.

An add-on for GateProtect has been developed. I attached it with this post.
To install the add-on, you need to extract the DLL file and put it in %LocalAppData%\devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager\
You will need the latest beta build to use the add-on.
If you can, we would really appreciate some feedback.

Hi,
Thx for the quick response. I upgraded from the latest stable to the beta; but like the Filename let me suggest, if i install the addon, the "generic vpn client" appears under addons, but no gateprotect admin client. Did you eventually upload the wrong file?
Thx so far.
Hi, me again:)
I found it under VPN. it works for the 9.5 version of the Firewalls, but there is a little Problem: the 9.5 admin client is not capable of connecting to a 9.4 or 9.3 firewall. Is there a way we can add more gp admin-client configurations? 9.5,9.4 and 9.3 should be enough..
thx.
Hello,
Thank you for testing it for us.
For the versions you mentionned (9.4, 9.3), is the command line or the executable file different? If they are the same, does changing the path in the RDM options (File > Options > Path > Configure installation path) work for you?
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
Hi,
The parameters & Filename are the same, just the install-path changes. But i started a session to a 9.4 firewall with the 9.5 client and it asks me if it should open the 9.4 client for me. if i say yes it transmits the user & Host.. So i just have to enter the PW and thats fine. U deployed the addon via the generic vpn addon; since its no vpn will you make an extra addon thats available on your repository or will you leave it this way?
Thx so far & keep up the good work!
Thomas
I don't think there's anything we can do to transfer the password too when it asks to use a different version of the program since GateProtect is the one that deals with this.
As for the integration of the add-on in the generic vpn add-on, I will ask David and get back to you when possible.
Regards,
Hubert Mireault
I asked David, and we will move the add-on as a standalone one.
Hubert Mireault
Many thx.
Hello,
I have linked a DLL for the add-on, the installation procedure is the same as before.
Just in case, make sure to revert to the previous version of VPNAddOn.dll (the one that's currently live) so there's no conflict.
As we cannot use the client ourselves, could you test the embedded mode for us if possible? If it doesn't work as expected, we won't enable it in the final version of the addon.
Thank you for helping us with the testing.

HI Hubert Mireault ,
Could you kindly send me the link or file of Gateprotect Administration client version 9.0 Asap.
I have gateprotect 9.0 server ,So i need gateprotect administration client 9.0 . I unable to connect with other version of gateprotect client .
the 9.0 admin client has the same parameters as higher clients but since the 9.2 client the EXE-file is AdministrationClient.exe, and in lower version its adminclient.exe.
@hameed: you should consider upgrading.
What i have to upgrade gateprotect Firewall server 9.0 ? if yes then how ,whithout communicating with administration client any other procedure to upgrade ? Because when i am trying to connect through gateprotect client 9.2 , it says ( you are using older version of gateprotect firewall server than that of client ( Server 9.0.0, Client 9.2.0 ) ).
I just meant you should upgrade because of security reasons, not because of remote desktop manager.. anyway; my information should help Hubert to modify the dll that is needed.
btw. Hameed: if you rename ur file to AdministrationClient everything should work.
Hello,
If I understood right, the only problem for compatibility has to do with the executable's name. I have made some changes that should allow compatibility with the older "adminclient.exe"
I linked an updated version of the addon in this post, could you give it a try to see if it fixes the issue?
To install the add-on, simply extract the file and put it in %LocalAppData%\devolutions\RemoteDesktopManager\
