Hi

when switch between embedded putty sessions half the text displayed is cutoff. eg. if i make a ssh connection to lunix box and view text files then switch to another embedded session on different machine then switch back to the linux box the left half of all text is gone.
note: when doing the same but the embedded ssh connection is not maximised it works fine

Thanks for a great app

i've attached a before and after screenshot. These would be before switching tabs and after switching back to the putty(ssh) tab

I will try to find a solution, but I'm very limited since Putty is pretty old application with no more update.

This may be unrelated, but when dealing with multiple windows, clicking on the embedded PuTTY window won't bring the whole RDM window back to the front, I have to shift some windows around to click on the RDM window to bring it back to the front.

Not a complaint, but another common occurrence. I've deployed RDM to quite a few users within our organization and nobody has complained to me about it.

I have this problem too.

It seems to occur with standalone Putty session too, when resizing a window from a large to a small window. Maybe this is what RDM does when a Putty session loses focus?

Another thing with Putty in RDM is the necessity to double alt-tab away from a session, and no way to give back focus to putty with keyboard shortcuts.

I am very happy with the program as I have many and different type connections to other systems.

I don't know if we can call this a solution, but I have a workaround for the Putty cutoff text issue. You'll have to modify a setting in the Putty session config to resize the font on window resize. There are two ways to do this, either per session (if you store your configs in Putty), or modifying Putty's "Default Settings" config which should apply it to all sessions that are configured and stored in RDM. Here's how to do it:

1. Open Putty and select the stored session you would like to modify.

2. Make sure the session is highlighted in the selection window and click the Load button (I say this because modifying the Default Settings sometimes doesn't take for me, but this way it does every time).

3. From the Category tree, select Window.

4. Change the option "When window is resized:" to either Change the size of the font or Change font size only when maximized.

4a. (Optional) Because resizing the font on high resolution monitors will make your Putty session font huge, you might want to modify the Columns and Rows that are displayed to something higher than default.

5. In the Category tree, select Session to get back to the Putty session view.

6. You'll notice your session may not be highlighted anymore, and if you're modifying the Default Settings, there will be nothing in the Saved Sessions textbox either. That's OK, just select your session again and click the Save button.

That's all there is to it. No more cutoff text
