RDM 6.0 RDP 6.1.7601.17514 I have some RDP sessions that work in embedded mode and some that will only work in external mode. These all used to work in embedded mode before I upgraded to version 6. It's weird - I've removed and added the offending sessions back and still does not work. The sessions are connecting to various server 2008 r2 and win 7 systems.
What do I need to look at to fix this.
Thanks. edited by bti on 1/20/2012

Hi again, Could you try to enable the Network Level Authentication for those who don't connect in embedded mode.

When I try to launch the session in embedded, it just shows a white screen in the tab. When I go to the dashboard and launch external, it opens and logs in just fine (I have the password stored in the session).

Have you found the Network Level Authentication setting? It's in the Advanced tab page of the RDP setting in the session

It is not a problem with logging in. In external, it works and logs in just fine. When in embedded, it adds the tab at the top and looks like it is doing something, but it just shows a white screen.

I have to test for you.
1. Could you try it on another machine? 2. Could you set the debug level to 1 in the application Options (Advanced tab) and recheck the log
Thank you for your help

I will make the changes and send the log ... FYI - a sub contractor introduced me to this product when he came on site. He can connect to everything from his laptop just fine and we have the same version and the same sessions. I actually imported his session list for his items that pertain to my network.
