Microsoft jet OLEDB 4.0 provider is not registered

avatar

I have a Windows XP 32bit SP3 that i installed RDM 5.5.1.0. It has Office 2003 including Access on it.
When I open the app , i got the following error. The current datasource is unavailable. the Microsoft.jet.OLDBD.4.0 provider is not registered on the local machine. The app still opens but can't get it to do anything

I have re-registered msjet40.dll in system32 and sqloledb.dll in common files with no success. We even installed SQL 2005 native client.

Please help!!!

Hi,
You're not the first with msjet problem, that's why the version 5.6 in beta now support XML data source instead of Access.

I'm glad you found your answer and you posted here.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for posting this but I need a little more help. I'm getting this error message at the C> , 'C:\Common' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I posted the command exactly as it was posted in the MS Help & Support site.

Thanks.

Not sure I understand the question. I'm working from home, no network, Comcast cable ISP. The entries sent were copied from the DOS - Command Prompt screen in XP.

Hi,
Maybe you got this error because Microsoft jet OLEDB 4.0 provide is not installed, you can try to download the files:
