"Unable to resolve the password or sensitive information"... 2026.2.7.0

Hi, The RDP entry is causing the following error for a credential entry. When I open a credential entry and try to view the password, the error appears and I see JSON instead of my password. Another entry that sits next to this one is working fine. Also an attempt to open an RDP session with credential linked to this one has the same effect. Tried to restart RDM already. [image] [image]

Can't paste long text in RDM SSH console - 2026.2.8.0 64-bit (PreJIT)

Pasting more than X lines of text into SSH console using right-click, the RDM confirmation dialog shows the text that fits the dialog size, but no scroll control, no yes or no button to confirm, because i guess they are out of sight. So i just can't paste my text. I have to revert to previous version. Also, ESC key should abort the dialog as regular Windows dialogs do, but it doesnt, i have to click on the [x] close button. This is right after installing version 2026.2.8.0 64-bit (PreJIT). Here is a screenshot -- see there is no yes/no button [image]

Paste several text into SSH console UI design problem

RDM version 2026.2.8.0 64-bit (PreJIT). Using the right-click button to paste a few lines into SSH terminal, the dialog does not respect Windows UI rules: "Yes" button must come first (on left), then "No" button (on right) - See picture below, it's reversed, and this is very annoying as this is the opposite of all other dialogs in the system, this will cause error as we're used to the other way in Windows. ESC key must invoque the "Abort" modal result (aka "No" in this dialog). Clicking on the "x" button to simply abort is annoying. [image]

New user with Login mode 'Active Directory interactive (with MMFA Support)

Our version has been updated to 2026.2.7.0, and now when adding a new user, you can only choose Custom (Devolutions) or Database user? I don't immediately see where you can now create a user, as before, which can be created via Login Microsoft (mode Active Directory Interactive (with MFA support)). Previous accounts do appear in the list with Authentication type Microsoft. [image] Has anything changed in system settings or am I missing something? Version 2026.1.23: [image]

Samsung S Pen not working on RDP

Hi there, great app! I use it heavily. However, there's a major usability issue for me. I am used to using the pen that is included with my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. But I cannot use it with RDManager on RDP sessions. Touch events by the pen are simply not recognized and have no effect. Mouse mode and touch mode usingy fingers work normally. I tried various settings without effect. Samsung S24 Ultra, Android 16 I would love to see support for the S Pen :) Thanks for considering!

"Type clipboard" / "Type password" broken

Hi, [2026.2.7.0] I just realized that the password that's typed via "Type clipboard" and "Type password" is garbled, it's not the password that I set. Here's the password entry: [image] Here's what gets pasted into the session. Capital letters turned into small letters, special characters lost. I am fighting access issues for the entire morning, and it turns out I unknowingly set different passwords that I wanted. Very annoying issue. The session is just a HTTPS website to the Supermicro IPMI session, where I work with the target server through a virtual console. [image] It may be an issue that RDM is typing those characters too fast, and Supermicro IPMI virtual keyboard is unable to properly "press" and "release" the virtual SHIFT key. Is it possible to set the inter-character typing delay? I was unable to find that in settings.

Data source "Devolutions Cloud" is crazy slow

Hi, This is RDM Version 26.2.7.0, and data source which used to be "Devolutions Business Hub" - paid version. It was always slow, but now has became painfully, crucially, unacceptably slow. Please optimize it, it's impossible to work with RDM anymore. Here I am pasting two screencasts: what happens when I click the "Properties" button on an entry: 3 times the progress bar, around 5 seconds. And the next - a screencast when you change something and press "Save" in an entry - 5 times the progress bar, around 8 seconds. So in total waiting for the stuff that happens in the background is around 13 seconds, before I can even use the entry! It's so annoying that we're starting to consider alternatives. It is unusable . We got some ~400 entries in total, very slim so far. And we've not yet starting putting pictures in entries. I am very worried what'd turn out then. PLEASE FIX IT.

VMware Synchronizer - Ignore Entry Type on Duplicate Check

If you change the session type (i.e. convert an RDP session to SSH using the 'convert with a template' function) the VMware sync setting "ignore entry type" no longer works. The session that was converted will be added again, as a default RDP session. I am currently on version 2026.1.22.0 64-bit.

Wrong keyboard combinations in tooltips

Hi! I noticed some tooltips show keyboard combination that don't match what's configured in keyboard settings. Specifically: Copy username (Ctrl+B), Copy password (Ctrl+Shift+B), Copy domain (Ctrl+Alt+B), Copy host (Ctrl+H). There might be more, but those are the ones I found. [image] Best regards, Daniel

My Personal and Privileged Account Missing Options When Using Keeper

Hello, It seems that when we select Keeper as the credential type for either My Personal Account or My Privileged Account, we do not have all the same options that we have in a regular Keeper credential record. In particular, no Advanced page where we can set the username format (e.g. DOMAIN\username) if necessary. [image] Here is what a regular Keeper credential looks like there: [image] This is RDM v2026.1.16.0 using SQL Server data source. Any help is appreciated, thank you! Best regards,

Connection through VPN host that inherits host configuration not working

Hi, I'm using some SSH tunnel VPNs, which works well. I've just realised that, since I have an entry for the router, I should be able to have the tunnel entry inherit the address from it. When doing so, it seems to attempt to use the LAN host as the tunnel host. Note the "Connecting to" line: Devolutions.ProtocolsSharp: 2026.2.12.1 OS: Windows Starting SSH, verbose level: 2 Setting up connection Connecting to: host.example.com:22 (IPV_ANY) [image] VPN entry inherits host configuration. VPN hosts folder uses VPN entry as VPN connection. host.example.com entry inherits VPN connection configuration. When connecting to host.example.com while explicitly specifying the host on the SSH tunnel entry, or when opening the VPN connection entry directly, it works as intended: Devolutions.ProtocolsSharp: 2026.2.12.1 OS: Windows Starting SSH, verbose level: 2 Setting up connection Connecting to: router.example.com:22 (IPV_ANY) SSH version banner: SSH-2.0-ROSSSH I just updated to 2026.1.22 and can confirm that the issue persists.

LAPS Support

LAPS support is imperative for me. Please let me know if this is on the roadmap (or available behind a paywall) as I don't see it as a credential type in the free version I'm testing. I'm new to this tool and am testing for out IT department since LAPS was implemented and broke all our current RDM tools (RDCMan, Royal TS, etc.).

Menu RDP settings are duplicates

Hi, I'm having a problem in RDM when selecting multiple host, then a right-click then, the menu is duplicated. When clicking on the down arrow, it just keeps going on and on. I see the problem only when using the FILTER under Quick Connect - see below article. https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/51237/search-top-ribbon-changed-after-update-to-20253150#219118 When I do the same in the Navigation bar, I don't see this problem. Can this be checked? [image] Thanks Donovan

Incorrect Tooltips on Users and User Groups Screens

Hello, Very minor issue but I noticed there seems to be a bug in the tooltips on the "edit" button on the toolbar on the Users and User Groups tabs. On the Users tab, the one that presumably should say "edit user" actually says "edit user group" (it's true you can change the user's groups from the edit window that appears, but it's far from the only thing you can do, it seems to be a "full edit window" for the user's properties): [image] The other similar issue is on the User Groups tab, although I'm not 100% sure - but it says "edit role" (instead of what would presumably be "edit group" or "edit user group" or something): [image] I'm not sure if "role" is being used as a synonym for "group" here, I'm not super-familiar with the RDM permission model as most of our users have admin rights on our data source, so if this is by design please let me know. It just seemed odd since I did not see groups referred to as "roles" on any other screen - my understanding is a role would be more like a permission set . This is on the newest RDM v2026.1.16.0, using a SQL Server data source. Best regards,

Error when posting VERY long data in parameter field of Terminal Command Entry

Hi, while working around my other issue I tried to paste an BASE64 encoded shell script into the text-field for "Parameter #1" after selecting "Text" as type for that parameter. The BASE64 string is 137865 bytes. I could save and close the properties window. If I now try to open the properties of this Terminal Command Entry again (on my PC) I get an error message that RDM cannot connect to the datasource. Then it shows me another message [image] Even restarting RDM does not change this behaviour. My colleague (using RDM on Mac) can open this entry, but only sees 890bytes of data in the parameter field. So I assume that RDM tried saving, could only save part of the data, and now somehow retains the complete info in a local copy but unable do actually do anything with it. While I can accept, that this field cannot save so much data (which I actually expected), I would at least expect an error (or a size limited edit-field) BEFORE saving the configuration. I'm not sure what I could have done now, except deleting the entry, which I could at least do successfully.

save window size upon closing and use it when re-opening

It's truly annoying to have to reset your screen size every freaking time you open remote desktop manager. I have a dual monitor and I like to have it expand slightly over both screens so I can have the server list on one screen and maximum display window on the other.

Autostart SSH Key Agents starts without keys

Hello, I am using RDM Version 2025.3.32.0 64bit (german) with Devolution Hub Business on a Windows 11 24H2 (german) PC and have the following problem: In my private user-vault I created two SSH keys entries by importing SSH keys as data and set the option to automatically load them into SSH-key agent. If I check the funktion I go to "tools > SSH-key agent" and start the agent manually, both keys are loaded. I now went to settings > tools >SSH-key agent to start the agent automatically with the application. My problem: after start of RDM, the SSH-key agents starts too, but ist empty, because it does NOT load the keys from my user-vault. If I then stop/start the agent manually, the keys are loaded correcly. I feel automatic start of SSH-key agent is useless without loading the right keys. Please advise how to debug the problem, any help appriciated.

VMRC Session NumLock setting not preserved

I noticed that when connecting to VMRC (VMWare) session consoles, the NumLock state from the local PC is not preserved. Once inside the session it is still possible to toggle NumLock, but then it is out of sync with the desktop os. I don’t think that this is a limitation of VMRC itself, since VMWare’s own VMRC Sessions do not have this issue — if I have NumLock on when connecting with VMWare’s own VMRC client it stays on in the session. It is only with Devolutions where connecting to Devolutions VMRC sessions always has NumLock off. Please fix this if you can.

Entry sorting does not take international letters into account

For example, Ă– is treated as O for sorting purposes.

Recommended Answer

Hi etfz , Thanks for the details, that helped a lot. Good news: there's already a setting for exactly this. Go to File > Settings > User Interface > Tree view , and look for Tree view culture . Set it to Swedish, and the tree should sort Ă…, Ă„, and Ă– at the end of the alphabet, the way you'd expect. https://docs.devolutions.net/rdm/commands/file/options/user-interface/tree-view/ Could you give it a try and let me know if it lines things up correctly? If anything still looks off after that, send another screenshot, and we'll take a closer look. Thanks again! Best regards,

RDM stops responding

I've been a user of RDM free version for years. After this latest update, I've begun investigating alternatives due to my frustration with Remote Desktop Manager. I downloaded and installed version 2026.1.14.0 last week (17-March-2026) and since that time, RDM will freeze and become non-responsive. Sometimes it's after a few hours, today it was less than an hour before it froze. There's no error being logged, it simply shows in Task Manager as "not responding". Nothing in eventlogs, no other process is having problems. Today I uninstalled the application, downloaded the .EXE again, rebooted, then installed RDM again as administrator. Less than an hour later, I have to use Task Manager to kill the non-responsive application again. Ugh. I'm running Windows 11 version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.8039). I'll be glad to include whatever information would be helpful to help identify why my computer doesn't seem to want to run this program any longer.
