Accessing remote Linux server GUI options

Hi Team, What are the options available for me to access Linux VM as the GUI, not just SSWH console (Ubuntu, Parrot and Kali for example), from the Windows Desktop RDM application?

latest version has broken ssh key authentication

I have had the same key setup for years now and in last version it working. I updated to 2026.2.7.0 64-bit (PreJIT) this morning and now all connection that used to work with this key fail. If I use user/pass it works. Using same key in WinSCP (same server) still works. What was changed? [image] I am connecting to server 1 (RHEL) via ssh as usera + key. This is the jump host setup in the ssh gateway tab. I am then connecting to server 2 (RHEL) via ssh as userb + same key. This has worked for years. Checking logs on server 2 and it seems to be failing because it is passing usera to server 2 instead of userb [image] this was setup as inherited which used to work but is not now. I switch connection to use username/pass and hardcoded. but it is still passing the usera to server 2 instead of userb.

RDM 2026.2.5.0 – Lost "Run as different user" / RDM update broke Vault credential usage and Run As option

Good morning. After updating RDM to version 2026.2.5.0 64‑bit (PreJIT), I lost the ability to run PowerShell commands using credentials from my Vault. Also, when I select “Run as a different user”, the option doesn't even appear – the command only runs under the current session user. Does anyone know how to fix this?

CyberArk PSM connection workflow clarification

Hello, I would like to confirm whether my understanding of the CyberArk PSM workflow in RDM is correct, and to raise a feature request based on a limitation we are hitting with multiple CyberArk environments. My current understanding of the setup 1. Create a CyberArk Dashboard entry. 2. Create a CyberArk PSM Server entry (defining the PSM host and the authentication used to connect to the PSM server itself). 3. Create a CyberArk PSM Connection entry that references the PSM Server entry and specifies the privileged account and connection component. My current understanding of how to launch a connection 1. Log in to the CyberArk Dashboard. 2. Open a safe that contains the account/entry I want to reach. 3. Right-click the PSM Connection entry and choose "Connect Using" and the previously defined CyberArk PSM Server. Questions 1. Is this the correct/intended way to open connections through a PSM proxy using the PSM Server + PSM Connection entry types? 2. If I am not logged in to the CyberArk Dashboard, the "Connect Using" option does not appear on the PSM Connection entry. Is this intended, even though the PSM Server entry itself can hold a username/password (Custom mode)? If so, what is the intended purpose of those credentials stored on the PSM Server entry and when are they actually used versus the Dashboard session? --- Fortunately, we can work around this with a plain RDP entry> connecting directly to the PSM server and specifying the program to run on connection as psm /u <user>@<address> /a <address> /c PSM-RDP . However, this wouldn't scale if we had multiple SAML-authenticated CyberArk environments that need to be defined through the Dashboard entry. Thanks! Kind regards, Daniil

Master password is being mangled on save

[update: if I save, and then exit RDM and restart it, the password is now the expected one.] I use inherited credentials for the RDP sessions under a master folder. For years I've updated the password when it expires without problem. Today, for some reason, the password is getting mangled after I save it. Halp! ( these passwords are no longer valid, of course ) [image]

My Personal Vault showing red x and Favorites is blank.

I'm on version 2026.2.7.0 64-bit (PreJIT). The issue I'm having is My Personal Vault (if I go to the navigation pane, click on Vault on the bottom left) has a red x on it. [image] If i click on the next section in navigation on the bottom (user vault) it works fine. I've tried testing the connection, which has no issues, and even deleting it and reconnecting and it ends up the same. The app on my Mac doesn't have this issue. Downgrading to 2026.2.5 doesn't seem to make any difference. The only reason I noticed any of this was that my Favorites went blank (even though I can see in the user vault I have connections selected as favorites, and the IOS app shows them just fine). On my Mac the favorites were doing the same thing, but I deleted and recreated the favorites files, and that worked on the mac, but didn't make any difference on the PC. Any ideas on how I can get my 'Vault' (and favorites) to work properly again on my PC?

Favorites sorting changed after recent update. How do I get 'alphabetically' back?

I've read in this forum that I can create a folder under Favorites, and manually drag them around, but I just want the sorting to happen automatically and alphabetically. Is that no longer possible?

Modal dialogs misbehaving

RDM tends to stack modal dialogs, e.g. if data source connection is lost while using another modal dialog then the error message can end up below other windows. Resulting from this visible ui elements become unresponsive. Moreover, it is challenging to reach the problematic modal dialog. The data source connection error dialog returns every minute or so, which makes this scenario a daily recurring nuisance. Devolution Server runs on prem and is accessed by our team via SSL-VPN. So, anytime the VPN connection is down, RDM is unable to access the data source for a while. I reckon RDM should simply accept this fact, or -if necessary- switch to off-line mode. In practice, I simply disregard the connection error dialog until I want to resume using RDM. The first connection error dialog could be regarded as informative, its modal nature makes it mostly get in the way as RDM has functions that do not depend on the data source. Due to their modal nature, I mostly experience the error dialogs as obstacles in the way of whatever I'm doing. Please note that, in my experience, handling of ui elements has been flaky for years now: - I haven't been able to rename items within the Navigation pane, because the ui appears to reset every 5-10 seconds or so. I need to be quick and lucky to use this feature. - Dialogs often become unresponsive after a while. Sometimes this is caused by a modal dialog that ended below the stacked windows, but in other instances this is less apparent e.g. there is no reason for the data source connection error dialog to appear when the data source is in off-line mode. I was hoping to disable repeated notifications of an ongoing error state, or to disable modal dialogs unless acknowledgement is required, or most preferably to have the error notifications appear as a colored band below the ribbon (similar to license expiration warning or offline data expiration warning). Is there an advanced option that allows trivial error notifications to be configured to be less disruptive ? I'm currently using: 2025.3.32.

License showing as Cloud Free and experiencing "Unable to find credential entry" errors

Hi! I am using Remote Desktop Manager version 2026.2.7.0 64 bit JIT on Windows 11 . I hold a paid Single User License , but I am running into a couple of urgent issues. 1. Data Source and License Status I notice that the interface now shows Workspaces instead of Data Sources . My active workspace is currently listed as "Devolutions Cloud Free" pointing to the hub URL. Given that I have a paid Single User License , why am I seeing the free cloud edition label? Am I using the incorrect type of workspace, or did I miss an activation step? 2. Missing Credentials and Error Popup More importantly, I have started encountering the following error popup: "Unable to find the credential entry; this setting will be lost." Following this error, it seems that my saved credentials and passwords are starting to disappear or get deleted from my application, which is very concerning. I apologize if I am missing something basic here, but I want to make sure my data is safe and that my paid license is correctly applied. Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your guidance. [image] [image]

Does the RDMS account for Devolutions Server require account delegation?

I'd like to check 'Account is sensative and cannot be delegated'. Are there any problems with this? Suggested testing path for this change?

Desktop background switched to black with RDM

I don't know since when, but every time I connect to newer 2022 or 2025 Windows servers through RDM, the background colour is changed to black. I do set the colour to anything and when I reconnect it goes back to black. Using RDP client from WIndows I do not see this behaviour. Is there a setting I'm missing that causes this?

MFA caching for PSM SSH Proxy not working

Hello, I've tried to set up two different PSM SSH Proxy connections with MFA Caching and neither of which succeeded Environment 1: The connection through the PSM SSH Proxy works, when the credentials are defined in the PSM SSH Proxy entry. However, if the MFA caching is enabled, the connection crashes. The authentication mode is set to CyberArk and the credentials are hard coded into the entry: [image] If I try to connect with this setting, I get two errors: [image] [image] The SSH Terminal entry should be configured correctly, because it works without MFA Caching. This is the latest CyberArk version (15.0), so I suspect the issue is caused by some change to the API. The passphrase for the key is not enabled. Environment 2: In this case, the CyberArk environment is on version 14.2 and there is enforced MFA with SAML, so the PSM SSH entry is configured for SAML authentication. When trying to connect through the PSM SSH Proxy, it first asks for SAML authentication, which goes through correctly, but after that I get a prompt for interactive authentication: [image] I have no idea which password it requests. The host field contains the hostname of the PSM SSH Proxy. In this case, the passphrase for the SSH key is enforced. Could you confirm whether this is a known issue with the latest CyberArk versions, or whether there's a configuration on the RDM side I might be missing? I'm happy to provide logs, screenshots, or additional details from either environment if that would help with troubleshooting. Thank you for your time. Best regards, Daniil

RDM - Jump Host - Agent not recognized

Hi! I am using the 2026.1.22.0 on my W11 to connet via another Windows 11, which act since RDM 2025 as Jump Host to our Servers. As stated the RDM Jump-App is deprecated an it is adviced to use the Devolution Agent, no problem. I installed the 2026.1.2 which is running, as the service and Tray-icon is telling me. In my RDM I switched the Jump-part of my Jump host to Devolutions Agent or Automatic and tried to connect to the designated Server as usual. If I turn off the Jump Host app on the Jump host, I got no connect, RDM on my source machine tells me "no Agent running", If I switch the App on again, and do "Automatic" in my Jump Host config, It connects (as expected) but I get the "...deprecated..use... " - Popup-Box. Any clues for me? Missed I anything? Cheers Matthias

RDP secret Macro / Remote tools / Tool Credential

[image] Dear Support I have several RDP entries on my RDM (2023.3.39.0 64-bit) and I connect using Myprivileged Account. It is linked to our PAM Secretserver. Today we had a problem on a server and I'd like to get the remote process list on the destination server. So I've tried to use the Remote tools -> Remote Process but I get the access denied error. i suspect the tools run as my standard user and not myprivileged account. Thank you L.

Remote Desktop Manager stopped working after today's Devolutions Cloud update

Hello, I need urgent assistance because after today's update my entire Remote Desktop Manager environment stopped working. Prior to today's update everything was working correctly. My data source was configured as an online Devolutions Hub / Devolutions Cloud data source and I was able to access all entries, launch RDP sessions, view documentation, attachments, and manage my environment normally. Today I updated to the new Devolutions Cloud version. During the update, the Devolutions Password Manager application was also installed. After the update: I can successfully log in to Devolutions Cloud. I can access the web interface. I can see all my vaults. I can see all folders and entries. I can see documentation. I can see attachments. All my data appears to be present and intact. However, I am no longer able to launch any connections from Remote Desktop Manager. When I attempt to open a Remote Desktop entry from Devolutions Cloud, Remote Desktop Manager starts but immediately reports: "Unable to connect to the data source. Would you like to switch to offline mode?" I then tried the following troubleshooting steps: Recreated the Devolutions Cloud data source. Verified the host URL. Verified my credentials. Reinstalled Remote Desktop Manager. Created a completely new configuration. Added the Devolutions Cloud data source again from scratch. The connection test succeeds successfully and reports that the connection has been established. However, when Remote Desktop Manager actually attempts to open the data source, it fails every time. I also collected the detailed error log. The relevant part shows: HTTP 403 Forbidden and the stack trace points to: HubClient.GetVaultV3(Guid vaultId) This suggests that authentication succeeds, but access to the vault is denied when Remote Desktop Manager attempts to load it. Additionally, Remote Desktop Manager reports that no shared vaults are available. What is confusing is that I can still log in through the web interface and I can see all of my data, documents, attachments, and entries without any issue. It appears that something changed during today's migration/update and Remote Desktop Manager is no longer able to access the vault even though the account itself is working correctly. Has anyone experienced the same issue after today's update? Could someone please explain what changed and what steps are required to restore Remote Desktop Manager functionality? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I currently cannot use any of my remote connections. Thank you.

SSMS v22 and SQL Server Management studio add-on

Dear all, At RDM, we use the SQL Server Management Studio add-on to open the SSMS application. We need to run SSMS using a CyberArk privileged account. Therefore, we use RDM to launch the process "runas SSMS.exe /user:<privileged account>". RDM_obrazek1.jpg shows an example of our SQL Server Management Studio object configuration, as we use it. [image] When we launch the object configured this way, RDM correctly retrieves the credentials from CyberArk for the privileged account and launches SSMS version 22. After SSMS launches, an error appears stating that an unknown -E switch was used. [image] S tímto nastavením v RDM vše dobře funguje např. se SSMS verze 20. I read that the -E switch was deprecated in version 22 and replaced by the -A switch for Active Directory authentication in the SSMS documentation. See the link to the MS documentation. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/ssms/ssms-utility I would like to ask you to fix this add-on. As a workaround, we use the Command-line (external application) object to launch SSMS under a privileged account. Thank you Best regards Jakub Vácha
