High CPU usage after Update tor Version 2026.1.12.0

Hi We've noticed that since the update, Remote Desktop Manager's CPU usage is significantly higher. This is resulting in network interruptions on our Windows 365 clients when using Remote Desktop Manager. Is anything known about this? Regards, Oliver

Script that runs several ssh sessions consecutively

My company uses a bastion SSH server to connect to many of our ssh clients. I'm trying to create a script that could run once logged into bastion that will ssh to a client, run a couple commands, exit and then ssh to the next client and repeat. This seams too much for post login commands, and I've tried to create a script/macro and excecute it, but it fails on the passwords for each ssh client. I've entered them in plain text in the macro, but when run it does not appear to accept the entry on bastion. Any suggestions on running several ssh connections consecutively and automatically from within one bastion connection?

RDP Auto Logoff is not working on windows core servers

Ever since updating earlier this week, the auto logoff function is not working on windows core servers. It will just type rlogoff into open terminal. Still works fine on windows servers with desktop experience

Master password is being mangled on save

[update: if I save, and then exit RDM and restart it, the password is now the expected one.] I use inherited credentials for the RDP sessions under a master folder. For years I've updated the password when it expires without problem. Today, for some reason, the password is getting mangled after I save it. Halp! ( these passwords are no longer valid, of course ) [image]

Save certificate as... broken in RDM 2026.2

Hi, Since I've upgraded to 2026.2 I can't save my certificates from RDM anymore. When I click on "Save certificate as..." and try to choose the file I want to save the certificate to I've got an error from the explorer saying the file doesn't exist. Of course the file doesn't exist yet because it's the whole point to export a new file. Kind regards

Cannot Revert from External to Embedded

I set a Windows RDP session to display external to the Devolutions client. I set Display back to embedded but the RDP session continues to open external. I tried closing the application and verifying Display = Embedded but that didn't solve the issue.

User specific settings - embedded password gone switching from 2025 version to 2026.2.8

Hello Devolutions Support, I recently upgraded Remote Desktop Manager from version 2025.1.33 to 2026.2.8.0 and encountered two issues: First, after starting the new version, my user-specific settings for credential inheritance were reset. In our setup, we use a top-level folder called “Server” where our admin account is stored via Pleasant Password Server. This is normally used for credential inheritance. [image] After the update, this configuration was empty and I had to reconfigure it manually. Can you explain why these settings were removed or overwritten during the upgrade? Second, with version 2026.2.8.0 I can no longer connect to our switches. I now receive a popup asking for interactive authentication, which was not the case before. [image] With version 2025.1.33 everything works as expected using the stored credentials. Because of these issues, I have rolled back to version 2025.1.33 for now. Could you please help identify the cause and provide a solution? Thank you in advance. Best regards, Dennis Grimmen

Last opened sessions no longer opening on startup.

I'm currently on 2026.2.9.0. It used to be, if I had a bunch of RDP sessions opened, and I needed to close the entire RDP app, once I reopened the app, it would ask which sessions I'd like to open again. It's not doing that any longer (seems like it broke a version or two back perhaps) I've check the 'playlist management' settings and under the 'user vault' tab there is no option like that. Under the 'local machine' tab, it's set to Launch at Startup: Last opened sessions (and the confirmation at startup box is checked).

cancel shouldn't mean cancel the session for a log question

For this one question, the first two are functioning and do as stated, the last one I would suggest should be don't log anything, but NO it cancels your session all together. This is a log question, I connected for a reason so just don't log. [image]

SSH with Yubikey and signed OpenSSH certificate

Hello! We are trying to configure a SSH session to use a Yubikey for authentication. The Yubikey's PIV certificate acts as the private key and we created a signed OpenSSH certificate out of it. The SSH server trusts the signing CA. This setup works great with either SecureCRT and the default openssh client. What's important about this concept is that you can define the Yubikey's PIV certificate as private key in the SSH session. This doesn't seem to be possible in RDM, I can only define a file there. It's also not possible to configure the certificate in the certificate tab an leave the private key tab empty, RDM complains that no private key was specified. Is the above scenario possible at all with RDM? Am I overlooking things maybe? Best regards, Christian

Logging with Duplicated Sessions

When duplicating a session in Remote Desktop Manager (RDM), the logging functionality does not work correctly for the duplicated session. Even when manually changing the logging path within the duplicated session, no logs are being recorded. Is there a known fix or workaround for this issue?

Bug: Copying multi-line colored text from SSH terminal drops whitespace characters

Hello, I would like to report a bug regarding the copy and paste behavior in the SSH terminal session. When copying multiple lines of output that contain colored text, some whitespace characters are dropped upon pasting. This issue seems to be directly related to the handling of ANSI color escape sequences during multi-line selection. Environment: RDM Version: 2026.2.7.0 64-bit (PreJIT) Client OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (OS Build 26100.8457) Server OS: Oracle Linux 9 (Kernel 5.15.0-315.196.5.2.el9uek.x86_64) Session Type: SSH Shell Issue Description & Actual Behavior: When I execute a command that outputs colored text (e.g., ip route) and copy the multi-line result, the spaces surrounding the colored elements are missing when pasted. Here is the exact pasted result of the multi-line copy (spaces are missing): [usr01@xxxx00 ~]$ ip route default via10.10.1.1devenp0s5proto dhcp src10.10.1.250metric 100 10.10.1.0/24devenp0s5proto kernel scope link src10.10.1.250metric 100 169.254.0.0/16devenp0s5proto dhcp scope link src10.10.1.250metric 100 [usr01@xxxx00 ~]$ And here is the actual terminal display showing the commands being executed (please see the attached image for color reference): [image] Expected Behavior (and Workarounds): The spaces should be preserved. I found that the issue does not occur in the following scenarios: 1. When piping the output to cat (which removes ANSI colors): Copying the multi-line result of ip route | cat works perfectly (as shown in the bottom half of the image). [usr01@xxxx00 ~]$ ip route | cat default via 10.10.1.1 dev enp0s5 proto dhcp src 10.10.1.250 metric 100 10.10.1.0/24 dev enp0s5 proto kernel scope link src 10.10.1.250 metric 100 169.254.0.0/16 dev enp0s5 proto dhcp scope link src 10.10.1.250 metric 100 [usr01@xxxx00 ~]$ 2. When copying a single line (without line breaks): Selecting and copying just one colored line preserves the spaces. 10.10.1.0/24 dev enp0s5 proto kernel scope link src 10.10.1.250 metric 100 Could you please investigate this issue with ANSI color handling during multi-line copy? Thank you.

RDM version 2026.2.5 - PowerShell session with Windows Terminal problems

This problem seems to be recurring. Almost all minor updates (when database schema need updating) curing a year or so reintroduce this problem in some form or another. Here we go again: When PowerShell session uses WindowsTerminal as terminal application (as configured on picture), [image] The started WindowsTerminal reads Windows Terminal configuration from outside of RDM application and opens several terminal tabs. [image] Closing these tabs one by one leaves one additional (hidden) Windows terminal still running on background. [image] and no PowerShell sessions open any more, until that hanging WindowsTerminal process is killed. When the PowerShell session is configured to run in external window, the 2 WindowsTerminal windows open. [image]

RDM MCP — RDM_execute_opened_connection_action not working on SSH sessions

Hi, Is RDM_execute_opened_connection_action expected to be functional in the current experimental MCP version, or is it still work in progress? If it should work — is there a known workaround or additional configuration required? Version: Remote Desktop Manager 2026.2.8.0 Feature: MCP Server (experimental) Issue Calling RDM_execute_opened_connection_action on an active SSH (SSHShell) session always returns a generic error, regardless of the action used. The connection is visible in RDM_list_opened_connections and all actions (send_command, get_terminal_status, take_screenshot) are listed as available via RDM_list_opened_connection_actions — but none can be executed. Example call json { "actionName": "send_command", "connectionIds": ["b22f1d22-22e2-4bfs-b2cf-222e6c1d7151"], "parameters": { "command": "date", "captureOutput": true, "timeout": 30000 } } Error: An error occurred invoking 'RDM_execute_opened_connection_action'. Same error occurs for get_terminal_status and take_screenshot. RDM was in the foreground with the SSH tab active. BR DI

MFA caching for PSM SSH Proxy not working

Hello, I've tried to set up two different PSM SSH Proxy connections with MFA Caching and neither of which succeeded Environment 1: The connection through the PSM SSH Proxy works, when the credentials are defined in the PSM SSH Proxy entry. However, if the MFA caching is enabled, the connection crashes. The authentication mode is set to CyberArk and the credentials are hard coded into the entry: [image] If I try to connect with this setting, I get two errors: [image] [image] The SSH Terminal entry should be configured correctly, because it works without MFA Caching. This is the latest CyberArk version (15.0), so I suspect the issue is caused by some change to the API. The passphrase for the key is not enabled. Environment 2: In this case, the CyberArk environment is on version 14.2 and there is enforced MFA with SAML, so the PSM SSH entry is configured for SAML authentication. When trying to connect through the PSM SSH Proxy, it first asks for SAML authentication, which goes through correctly, but after that I get a prompt for interactive authentication: [image] I have no idea which password it requests. The host field contains the hostname of the PSM SSH Proxy. In this case, the passphrase for the SSH key is enforced. Could you confirm whether this is a known issue with the latest CyberArk versions, or whether there's a configuration on the RDM side I might be missing? I'm happy to provide logs, screenshots, or additional details from either environment if that would help with troubleshooting. Thank you for your time. Best regards, Daniil

SSL-VPN OpenVPN autofill does not transmit the caret character (^); it replaces it with an ampersand (&).

Hello, we use "autofill" to copy credentials into the OpenVPN credential-window. Some passwords contain "^" (caret). Only, when autofill is used into the OpenVPN credential-window, then it is pasted wrong. "^" is substituted with a "&". When using the “Clipboard > Type clipboard“ function the password will be typed as copied; only the Autofill function from the OpenVPN object does transmit it wrong. Is this a bug? Do we need to set a special setting? Here is the configuration: [image] [image] [image] [image] Thanks in advance. Best regards, Daniel

Sessions using Delinea won't connect - fails with "Requires multifactor authentication"

Credential entry setup with either the resolving mode set to "Connection through proxy" or "Injection" and Authentication mode set to SSO allows me to retrieve a list of valid credentials from the list view. However, when I attempt to start a session where those credentials are selected, I get an onscreen prompt that just says "Requires multifactor authentication" and all I can click is OK, with the session not starting. On the Delinea side, I can request a secret and be granted it, but I do sometimes get another prompt on the website for a challenge for my OTP code - if my site login was recent, this just passes through when I click the challenge button. If not, I'm prompted for my OTP code again, then it lets me through. I've tried exiting RDM and then opening again to force a re-sign in to the platform, but that hasn't helped. When I walk through the sign in process, sometimes I can select the login I want , other times in the browser box I do briefly see something about generating a token, but the box disappears before I can do anything, then the session never opens either. I've also tried clearing the inbuilt browser cache, but that hasn't made a difference either.
