Thanks, James - ended up going another way.

My goal was to automagically open an IE window. Got it to do so by using the Programs tab on the RDP session properties.

v13.6.7.0

I am unable to get the remote RDP session to hit the Start button with an After Connect Typing Macro - here is what I have tried:

{ALT}{HOME}

{LWIN}

{RWIN}

{CTRL}{ESC}

{TAB}{DELAY}{ENTER} - default delay of 300ms on this one

None of these are working, with or without focus on the session.

The thing I can get to work every time is clicking the "Start Screen" button under the Actions menu.

Is there a way to send that action from the Typing Macro?

Windows 7 mainly here. Have not tested on Windows 10 yet.

Agreed. We are in healthcare - it's not only annoying, it could impact patient care.

Did this work for people? We are seeing the same thing when RDP sessions start to time out - it grabs the focus.

Correct, the issue is not pulling creds from Passwordstate - just the sending of ENTER or clicking OK.

A request from our users for this...instead of opening order, can the tabs be sorted alphabetically?

It is Passwordstate from Click Studios.

Not sure you mean by which entry?

Hi Support -

We are trying to consolidate all of our end user remote connections into RDM. Great product, btw!

One of the types of remote connections we use is VMware Horizon View.

We pull credentials from our Passwordstate installation. This is working (with Anonymous API access enabled in PWstate) as far as populating the login dialog but it is not actually sending the credentials. We have to manually click the Login button or hit enter.

Seems like a minor thing and we have a workaround with an After Connect macro to send the {ENTER} command...but the end users are going to be medical clinicians who work in an ER capacity. Every second counts for them in an emergency situation.

One other thing that the macro does is to throw up a notification that a macro is being executed down by the system tray. This may cause unnecessary confusion for the end users. Can this notification be suppressed?

Is it possible to have the RDM View connection automagically send the ENTER command without a macro?

Thanks!

Tried that with a "service account" (multiple ones, actually) but it did not seem to work and kept on popping up the login dialog box when opening the RDM RDP sessions.

That's what prompted this feature request in the first place.

Our PS scripts are using passthru authentication on the same domain, maybe that's how you would do it...allow users to specify credentials for the API access and pass those on to the PWstate API. The goal is to not have to allow Anonymous PWstate API access.

We understand that the API key -is- the authentication when making the calls but it would be great if we didn't have to enable Anonymous API access.

Unless we are misunderstanding how the PWstate API works.

Some of the end users will be coming from a different AD domain so Windows Auth mode will not work for us.

Currently we have to enable Anonymous API access within Passwordstate to use it as a credential store for RDM sessions.

Would like to see authentication added for the Passwordstate API or some mechanism to access it that does not require Anonymous access to be enabled.
