So I can use the database id and session id in the URL?

From the documentation, that isn't listed. Datasource is the only one.

I am attempted to use the protocol handler and I am running into issues

We are using a SQL server as our data store and I can see in the database where the session ID is. But I am not finding the Data Source ID. So.. I installed RDM on two systems, configured the same SQL server backend. And I see two different IDs for the Data Source on the advanced tab for an entry. So the data source ID is only locally generated/relevant, correct?

I am able to launch by the Session IDs only as long as the data source is already selected or I only have one data source configured. Which is fine for my use case as long as this will continue to work?
Thanks!

This is exactly what I am looking for. To have one entry that will work between Mac and Windows. I guess I will have to just stick with the SSH Shell entries for now.

Thanks!

But.. I assume you can't use the same data source between Windows and MAC when you do this?

Updated template settings for SSH to include autologging to the users home directly via kitty and a command line switch (Kitty seems to work better than the builtin SSH client and I need to support v1 on some legacy devices).

Is it possible to apply this setting to all existing SSH sessions?

Unless I am missing something, it doesn't appear you can set which program you want as your default ssh client when creating new ssh sessions.

I have issues with the current default in our environment for some reason and putty works perfectly fine. I would like to have the ability to set putty as the default when creating new entries.

Thanks!

Remember. He can use another AD account without an issue. Its just this one AD account. Kinda odd.

Yes. It is selected to be domain only. The account he was using is a domain account (the account with the issue).

We used another domain account he has access to until we get this resolved for his account (not a local account that I mentioned in a previous post).

Thanks for the reply.

I assume I will be waiting for new code that includes additional logging?

Anything else I can do? He is still having this issue. I created a local account to get around it for now.

Any logging I am enable to work through it?

Thanks!

His account is listed. I added a new account (test account) and that works perfectly fine. Local or AD. Its just this existing account.

I deleted the account and recreated it. Still having the same issue.

Server Version: 2.0.0.0 (just updated which caused this issue)
RDM Version: 8.1.0.0 and 8.2.0.0 (tried both)

Its linked to Active Directory. So no. The password works via going to the website.

Its just remote desktop manager that doesn't work. It times out.

Yes. It doesn't matter the PC. It appears to be something server side.

I have even tried to delete his account and readd it. He still continues to have the issue.

Yes. From the same system, we can login via IE/Chrome/Firefox just fine. Its using the Remote Desktop Manager only.

We tried uninstalling and reinstalling RDM (deleting all profile files/folders, etc) but still have the same issue. I can login from the same system but he can not.

Very odd.

After upgrading from Server 1.0 to Server 2.0, I have a single user account that doesn't want to connect. He gets a timeout error. But if we use my account on his PC, it connects fine.

Is there some server logs we can look at to resolve this issue?

It would be nice to be able to move existing connections into sub connections to clean up the UI.

It would also be nice to list an entry as a sub entry for multiple items.

IE

Folders
Database\Shared-DB Server

Application\App1 Server
Subconneciton Shared-DB Server

To show that the Application server uses the shared DB server resources.

Or another example

Database\VCenter DB
Application\VCenter Windows Server

VCenter Console
Subconnection VCenter DB
Subconnection VCenter Windows Server

I hope this makes sense. Would make it easy on new administrators. If there is an issue with this Application, look at the supporting servers (subconnections). Making it a link will also allow you to keep the information updated in one location instead of multiple entries.

It would be nice to be able to edit multiple like entries. Also to be able to select multiple and add user specific settings (IE Credentials, etc).

I currently have two data sources. A personal and one linked to RDMS.

I would like the ability to view all data sources in the All Entries window and be able to search for all at the same time.

Thanks

Sorry. I must be missing something. I got RDMS installed and working without issue with local users. When I go in, select Authenticate with domain user and type in the DC server name. I can not get any of those logins to work. I keep getting an error user not registered. I even manually added the user under users by searching the domain but that didn't work either.

What am I doing wrong?

Is SQL Server 2012 in the road map for support or has anyone tested it? I know it was recently released but I figured I would ask.

We just purchased RDMS with Global License. Haven't done an install yet and figured we should use the latest supported SQL.

Thanks.
