Fit Embedded RDP in Window is grayed out

I am having a similar problem. I am using version 5.7.3.0 (remote desktop 6.0.6001.18000). I am recieving the sam error in my log. The embedded/external option for me is not greayed out however. But I am not able to have any remote desktop session operate within the embedded windows. I can use remote desktop when I choose the external option. When I try to open a RD session in embedded mode it looks like RDM trys to open and creates a new tab, however the tab disappears after 20 seconds or so. The main screen just stays white. I can use putty and IE within the embedded environment.

The error in the log is not really an error, it's a trace that was supposed to be removed, sorry about that. For the session that close, it might be related to the Network Autentication Level, it must be activated in embedded mode. Open the session settings and go the Advanced tab at the bottom of the window, check the option Network Level Authentication. Let me know if you still have the problem.

I have enabled the 'network level authentication' but with no sucess. Just to point out, I am unable to use any remote desktop via the embedded session. only through external. Coult it be a problem with IE and Active X. how can i test?

It might be related to the activeX, I know that I did a small fix for that in the beta version, maybe you can give it a try and see. You can also go in the application option and in the advanced tab, set the debug level to 1 and see if you get a more specific message in the application log (located in the Help menu)

i also have the problem that I cannot select "fit embedded RDP Windows" in the sessin settings.
I reinstalled Remote Desktop Manager as a result as I lost my session list and I still cannot embed the opened sessions.
Anything I can do ?

If you select embedded in display, this will enable the checkbox. I don't understand why you lost your session, it not uninstalled. where do you have it installed ?

I cannot select "Fit Embededd RDP in Window" It is grayed out and non selectable.
It opening a new window for each Remote desktop session.

You must select Embedded / Tabbed in the combo. It's in the top section, maybe your screen is too small and you don't see it. Use the scrollbar, it's under the name and the description. By default it's external.
